| Flicker effect! this needs action now; the operating frequency on some vehicles did not consider human factors. the operating frequency needs to be above 3000 hertz, this needs a recall to correct this on all vehicles that do not conform. the choice of flicker fusion threshold operating frequency is going to get someone killed or maybe it already has! what is needed: recall all delenators, road side signs, signal lights and vehicles that use pwm pulse width modulation. and are operating below 3000 hertz!! set a standard for this!!! | |||

| I was standing outside of the car. i unlocked the vehicle. driver side door was then opened. when driver's side door was opened, the passenger side window shattered. the car was in a parking lot and stationary. nothing hit the window. nothing was thrown at the window. again the passenger side window shattered when the driver's side door was opened. the window was tinted and is what kept the glass from scattering all over the ground and in the car. the window itself is believed to be defective but cannot verify this. it is also believed that there might have been an issue with the window mechanism not being properly adjusted but also cannot verify this. the vehicle is currently at the dealership to have the window replaced. dealer noted that this is not a warranty issue and that the warranty will not cover this. the cost of replacement is around $500. the dealer is going to look into the mechanism, track, and whether stripping to verify that this was not the cause. *tr | |||

| I have a 2010 ford mustang gt coupe and had to have my front windshield replaced because it got damaged. i had a new oem windshield installed by safelite glass who installed a carlite windshield and the distortion around the perimeter of the window is very bad. everything looks curvy and magnified when i see out of that part of the glass. realize i sit very low in the mustang and actually see a lot through the bottom 2 inches and left 2 inches. safelite brought 5 different carlite windshields and they all had the same problem. my insurance company said i could use someone else so i went to jn phillips and they had a couple of carlite windshields in stock for my mustang and they too were distorted. the glass technician there even confirmed it. i am being told that is the only glass i can get for my mustang and everywhere they checked had distorted glass. the dot number of all the windshields that have been delivered to me already (6 windshields now) are all 287. jn philips called all around and all that is around is dot 287 glass with the same distortion. i will not accept having to live with an inferior windshield like this. noone from ford or carlite has helped me with this problem as i have contacted them several times. this windshield is very dangerous to me and definitely impairs my vision and is causing me to constantly brake and swerve because of the distortion. i feel it is a definite safety hazard and i can't believe that these windshields were allowed to go out to the public. i don't know what to do next. *tr | |||
