| This morning the unexpected and unheard of happened my passenger side airbag inside the seat deployed for no apparent reason. i was pulling in to the gas station at about 5-10 mph with my brother in the passenger side and wife in backseat when all of a sudden the airbag exploded, my brother thought we got into a crash and wife thought we were getting shot at and i thought my engine exploded until my brother said it was the airbag and was complaining of pain in his arm while my wife complained she could not hear from the loud pop when it deployed. my car has ford racing lowering springs i have had them on the car for almost two years. i recently drove from south carolina to texas and the roads were not smooth especially here in texas where it happened. i might understand the airbag in the seat deploying while hitting a hard bump but not when driving on a smooth concrete surface where it ended up deploying. i think if i was driving down the highway and the airbag inside the seat on the driver side would have deployed i could have lost control. | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford mustang gt. while driving 25 mph across an intersection, the vehicle was struck on the front driver side door. none of the air bags deployed. the contact sustained three broken ribs, a deep thigh bruise, a flesh wound on his knee, and a sprained neck and shoulder. the insurance company stated that the vehicle was destroyed. a police report was filed. ford filed case number 522283387. the current and failure mileages were 14,000. updated 04/23/08 *bf | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford mustang gt. while accelerating from a stop, the contact gently applied pressure to the accelerator pedal. however, the vehicle began to accelerate unexpectedly at a higher rate. the vehicle was taken to the dealer, but they were unable to duplicate and determine the cause of the failure. the contact is in the process of notifying the manufacturer. the failure mileage was 7785 updated 4/14/09 *cn the first two incident no cause was found. the last incident, the consumer rear ended the vehicle in front of her. she also stated the air bag did not deploy. updated 04/17/09.*jb | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 ford mustang gt. while driving 35 mph, on the date the vehicle was purchased, the air bag light illuminated. the contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that the vehicle was under recall and repaired it for free. however, the vehicle was never repaired and, whenever a passenger under the 150 pounds is seated in the passenger seat, the air bag indicator light will still illuminate. the contact has taken the vehicle to the dealer twice since the most recent failure, but they have been unable to assist. the recall number was unknown. the failure mileage was 115 and current mileage was 5,000. updated 07/29/08.*lj updated 07/29/08. *jb | |||
