| My ford ranger supercab has electric door locks. for the past several months, the passenger door's lock has begun being intermittent about opening with the lock/unlock buttons on the two doors. now it will neither open or close with the buttons most of the time. recently, even the driver;s door lock has begun this symptom of not opening or closing. must use the key to unlock the door. very inconvenient. if there is a problem where someone needed to escape the vehicle quickly, such as a fire or other accident, you have to fumble to try an pull up on the lock button, sticking through the door liner. *tr | |||

| When closing the rear door using normal pressure it fails to close on the upper latch. this allows the main door to be held closed with only one-half of the latching assemblies. when driving in this condition the 'door ajar' indicator does not light. at these times i am unaware that the door is not fully secured. *ak | |||

| When driving on an incline, the driver applied the brakes and the pedal went to the floor, but vehicle did not slow down. the brakes kicked in, and moments later, the driver was able to stop the vehicle. *ak the consumer states that the he kept asking the dealer to remedy the steering-3 times. the consumer had to keep taking the vehicle to get a front end alignment every few days. the tail gate latch does not operate, the wind is still leaking around the door, the power steering pump make noise overhead/periodically locks up and throws off the drive belt and becomes hard to steer, there is a vibration in the left front wheel/roaring noise-rotated tires. *scc | |||
| Tailgate will sometimes be difficult to unlatch, and there are also times when latch will come open when hitting a bump. dealer has seen vehicle and can't fix tailgate. *ak | |||
