2008 ford ranger. has been in the shop now (6) time for the same problem. the engine light comes on. when this happens, the rpm's go up, the truck has no power, and stalls. some times when the engine light comes on. i'm in stop and go traffic. the rpm's go up so high, that i have to put both feet on the brake, to avoid hitting the car in front of me. i have spent so much time, trying to get the this problem taken care of. the truck only has 5949 miles on it. this time it was in the shop for (8) days. ford called, and said the tuck was ready/ repaired. drove the truck 83 miles. same problem. now it sits at the dealership. i'm wondering what's going to happen, next? this all started at 749 miles. ford even sent there engineers out to replace the dash cluster harness. didn't work. ford engineers came back out , and changed the fuel sensor. that didn't work. ford engineers changed the 4022 and the 2022 pins. still didn't work. they have retested the system. same problem time after time. they now refuse to lemon law the truck. how much more of this, should i have to take, before someone gets hurt. this is a safety problem. i have contacted the ford motor company customer relations. talked with everyone, you could possible think of. but it never gets repaired right. *tr
