| When going down the street at any speed, the car can just start going faster on its own, going around corners or anytime going down the road. its getting very dangerous. most of the time when you tap on the gas pedal, it will break free and go back to normal but sometimes it just goes faster and faster. have to pop it in neutral and keep tapping the pedal and hope it goes back to normal. very dangerous for me or my kids and other drivers on the road. another thing is that i can turn on the cruise control and the light shows it is on but when i push the set button nothing happens. *tr | |||

| Car continued to accelerate and had difficulty in stopping. put into neutral and engine raced for a few minutes, tapped gas pedal and it slowed down. there have been four incidents of this nature since the latest being sunday, july 1, 2012. after the first three incidents it was taken to the local ford dealer and they could find nothing wrong. the last incident when put into neutral the engine and transmission shook for a while and it slowed down. | |||
