 Front brake pads completely worn down to the metal at 5000 miles. rear brakes dealer mechanic first told me had 15% left, then they reinspected and said they had 50% left and were fine after i complained. dealer finally replaced front brakes under warranty, after first telling me were normal wear and tear and thus were not covered

 Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford transit connect. the contact was driving 50 mph when a rumbling noise was heard from the front tires . in addition, the vehicle would squeal abnormally when braking. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the dealer confirmed that both front rotors and brakes needed to be replaced. the manufacturer was not contacted and the vehicle was not repaired. the failure mileage was 400 and the current mileage was 1000.

 Tl- the contact owns a 2010 ford transit connect. the contact stated that the front brakes were worn prematurely and they were unable to idle the vehicle properly. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where they replaced the brakes and rotors. the manufacturer was aware of the failure. the current mileage was 28,000. the approximate failure mileage was 10. bw

 Tl* the contact owns a 2010 ford transit connect. the contact stated that the vehicle failed to start and was towed to an authorized dealer where the starter was replaced. later, the contact heard an unusual noise from the front end that persisted for several weeks. the vehicle was taken to the dealer where the front brakes and calibers were replaced at 21000 miles. the vehicle then began to exhibit an abnormal humming and was taken back to the dealer where both front bearings and hubs were replaced at 27000 miles but the noise persisted. the dealer then replaced both rear bearings and hubs, test drove and replaced the air brake system sensors and released the vehicle to the contact. the contact stated that later while the vehicle was parked, he noticed anti-freeze abnormally leaking from the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to the dealer where the coolant hose was replaced. the failure mileage was 16,000 and the current mileage was 31,500.

 Tl-the contact owns a 2010 ford transit connect. while the vehicle was parked he attempted to start the vehicle and it would not start. the vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer. the dealer replaced the starter. while driving the vehicle he heard a noise coming from the front end of the vehicle, the failure was on going for several weeks. at 21,000 miles the vehicle was taken to the dealer and the dealer replaced the front brakes and caliber. at 27,000 miles he heard a humming sound but he could not determine from where. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. the dealer replaced both front bearings and hubs. after picking up the vehicle the contact stated the humming noise continued. the vehicle was taken back to the dealer. the dealer replaced both rear bearings and hubs. after road testing the vehicle the dealer replaced the sensor for the air brake system. later while the vehicle was parked anti-freeze began to leak from the vehicle. the vehicle was towed to the dealer. the dealer replaced a coolant hose. the vehicle was repaired. the failure mileage was 16,000 and the current mileage was 31,500. vwb

 Premature break wear...front breaks needed to be replaced at just under 30,000 miles including need for new rotors. at 39800, told by dealership that front brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced again. ford is saying there is a problem with premature break wear, but this is very, very dangerous and could result in brake failure.
