| Upon returning from vacation sept 23 traveling on interstate 40, i had a blowout. on sept 24 traveled to gallup new mexico and replaced the tire (of which they kept). i am again on the road, blew another tire, stopped in albuquerque nm at walmart and replaced the tire (they also kept the bad tire). luckily i did not have any more blowouts for the rest of the trip. i went to ok tire on sept 28 which is where i purchased the tires orginally and they asked that i bring the remaining three tires up for inspection. they also were falling apart. it looks as if they are defective and ok tire as much as said so. ok tire is sending the tires to tci (tire centers inc) for evaluation. i will probably get new tires for the three, but i feel i should be reimbursed for the two new tires i had to purchase. this could have caused an accident, death and/or both. i am not asking for a million dollars i am asking for my money back. if the tires had been properly manufactered there would not be an issue. the tires were only a little over a year old.. | |||

| On 3 different occasions the carlisle trailer tires (st205 75r15) blew out on the highway. they totally shredded and the steel belts were protruding . these tires were on a 2001 5th wheel trailer and had a minimal number of miles on them, approximately 2000 miles. they appeared to be in great condition and were properly inflated at the time of the blow outs. each time we replaced the tire with a new and different brand trailer tire. the 3 blowouts happened within a month of each other.*jb | |||

| I have a 2001 25' rockwood ultralite travel trailer. it was equipped with carlisle st205/75r14 steel belted radial tires. all 4 wheels plus the spare was this tire. we use this trailer very little maybe averaging 1500 mi/year. on august 6,2004 the final carlisle blew out on interstate 10 near tallahassie, fl. every one of the 5 blowouts occurred on interstate highways. 3 on i95, 1 on i75, and 1 on i10. my max speed is 65 mph. i check the tires and pressure before i take the trailer out. there was no warning on any of the blowouts. i believe these tires are defective. i called carlisle and since warrenty had expired, they were not even interested enough to ask questions about the blowouts. they should not have failed with the few miles i had on the tires.*ak | |||

| Belt shift/cap separation..............i am a service manager at a camper dealership,we sell 80 to 85 units a month.i have four campers here with separated tires and damage and two to three that have called in with damage from separated tires.some of my customers purchased a new camper and went to disney world which from here is about 656 miles and had three of four tires on the ground seperate.carlisle tires have a problem and with such a load on these tires from a camper its a matter of time before more than camper damage happens.i have five tires here of of a year and a half old camper the tires have between 7/32 and 9/32 and they are seperating and as i said new tires are doing the same.the tires i have here are dot codes:dbhhj124400,dbhhj124400,dbhhj124700,dbhhj124400 and dbhhj120101. these tires are on forest river wildcat campers and the tires are st225/75/15 size. *ak | |||
