| Defect Summary | Tmc is recalling certain model year 2004-2011 damon and four winds recreational vehicles equipped with 1200-series norcold refrigerators. the population of refrigerators being addressed contains either a sensing algorithm or thermal switch to shut off power to the refrigerator when high temperatures are detected in order to prevent a potential fire. the response times of the sensor algorithm and thermal switch devices to stop power are not sufficient. | |||||||||||||||

| Tl- the contact owns a 2010 fourwind serrano rv. the contact stated the hydraulic system for raising the rv failed. the pump burned up and almost set the rv on fire. the contact stated the pump does not have a slinger or an k strain which would keep hydraulic fluid from flowing into the motor. this causing the motor and pump to over heat. the contact took the motor home to the dealer in february and had the pump replaced, but the failure returned. the vin was unavailable. the failure mileage and current mileages were 5,000.rl | |||
