| While making a hard right turn front tires very difficult to turn very resistant. front tires felt like being drug across the pavement. problem became more frequent in both turning directions. took it to dealership to find out it is a common problem with this vehicle (others complaining of this online). steering racket cracked and fluid leaking on right internal in bellows. internal problem with steering gear. i was told this wasn't recalled because it is not a safety issue, basically some one has to die! excuse me, i drive on the country's most dangerous highway, us 50 over echo summit at least once/twice per month. what if this failed? how is a steering problem not a safety issue? i took the suv in before we were killed! | |||

| The steering makes an awful noise when turning. this is usually at low speeds. this same problem was corrected while it was under warranty at the dealership. however, now i am past the mileage warranty and nothing will be done. i have contacted gmc several times and there were no suggestions. this is very disappointing seeing that it has been less than a year since the part was replaced under warranty. *tr | |||

| 2010 acadia transmission and traction control safety problems. while driving 70mph on the highway, the traction control system alarm came on in addition to a flashing stability control and abs warning lights. the rear passenger wheel locked up, the transmission downshifted into 3rd gear causing the vehicle to veer into the right lane. additionally, we have been having power steering pum problems with the vehicle which made the vehicle difficult to control in this circumstance. fortunately, there was no other vehicle in the right lane and maanged to pul the vehile off the road. i had my family in the vehile at the time which made everyone very scared for their safety. the vehicle was turned off and restarted which erased the abs and traction control warnings, but the engine check light remained on and was unable to keep the transmission in drive. the dealer replaced some ecms, but could not fix the power steering issue. three weeks later, the transimission started shifting hard and after 2 visits to the dealer is not being ivestigated for another ecm failure. the electric systems and power steering issues make this is a very unsafe vehicle. | |||
