Faulty fuel gauge sensor, as well as a faulty instrument panel. the fuel gauge indicates there is no fuel when i have just filled up my 2006 gmc envoy. started with filling up my suv and after i got gas, the gauge dropped to empty with the bell chiming low fuel. the check engine light stays on constantly even after having the car serviced. it goes off intermittenly. definitely dangerous as you do not know when you will run out of gas, especially with traveling with young children.

Tl*the contact owns a 2006 gmc envoy. the contact smelled a burning odor coming from the vehicle and parked it overnight. the following morning, the air conditioning system would not operate. the dealer stated that there was a heating resistor that melted some of the wires in the ignition system. the wiring harness was replaced and the dealer advised the contact not to activate the air conditioning system on low power; only medium and high due to the power needed by the blower when running on low. after the repairs were made to the wiring harness, the fuel gauge became inoperable on the instrument panel. the failure mileage was 26,000 and current mileage was 27,000.
