On may 10, 2011 the rear spoiler (with third brake light) flew off the back of my 2006 gmc envoy denali xl shortly after entering the highway. lucky for me it was crushed by a passing tractor trailer instead of hitting someone's windshield. gmc said that since my suv was 6 years old and over 100k miles i should expect these kind of problems. on july 24, 2011 shortly after entering the highway the entire liftgate window pulled away from the vehicle. i am about to open another complaint with gmc, but expect little help from them. apparently the window and spoiler are both attached with double sided tape on this model year.a definite design flaw. it in my opinion is a hazard to anyone driving behind one of these vehicles and should be recalled and the windows and spoilers bolted into place. |
