The liftgate of my 2006 gmc envoy xl came apart from the body. the top plastic piece first started to appear not aligned with the actual liftgate. that continued to get worse over time and the rubber molding around the liftgate became warped. eventually, within 3 months, the whole liftgate was not aligned and i was having issues closing it. i had to have the top molding replaced, the rubber replaced and the door welded back on properly. i was told that whatever held the liftgate on was rusted. *tr

I own a 2006 gmc envoy and my daughter had gone out to get something out of the back. she closed the hatch and was standing there talking to my brother-in-law and the next thing you know, the whole back exploded out! it was horrifying. it sounded like a bomb going off! my daughter was shattered with glass but fortunately was not injured. *tr
