Original 4x4 front axle actuator replaced by authorized g.m. dealer. part was incorrectly installed causing front axles (hubs) to remain locked despite being in 2 wheel high. doing 70 mpg on highway, rear u-joint got too hot and seized causing torque to break transfer case in half and allowing driveshaft to tear loose fuel lines and tear hole in floorboard directly below driver seat. faulty engineering of new actuator switch design does not provide warning when hubs are locked. explosion of transfer case caused near accident and minor fire.

This is my 2nd attempt to alert you to this impending devasting problem. my vehicle has an antilock braking problem which manifests itself in increased stopping distance. important note! this problem is not to be confused with an earlier recall dated july 21,2000. although that particular recall exhibits similar symtoms, and was performed satisfactorly on my vehicle, the problem remains.my dealer states that the july 21st recall would have nothing to do with the present malfunction. the antilock hydraulic control unit manufactured by kelsey hayes is faulty on my vehicle and many many others similar to mine. your immediate attention to this matter should be of the upmost urgency ! please contact me for further details to which i will be able to more efficiently help you in getting to the source of this life threatening problem. thank you. ronald cangialosi. *ak

The rear brakes provide very little stopping power. rear brake shoes show very little wear even after 60,000 miles. recent article in paper highlights the problem. it directs the cause toward the abs system. this is a common complaint on these vehicles. it has been reported previously but no response. must i go through our congressional representative in order to get a reply. this is a very dangerous situation. please respond. if the problem is being highlighted in the papers surely the administration should be acting on it.*ak |
