	The dealer knew about the defects to this vehicle and refused to fix them after receiving 3 separate estimates. 2 days after i repeatedly went back to the dealership to report these safety hazards the dealer continued to refuse to fix the problems and i had a car accident due to the defective vehicle. the dealer compliance board has a current case against the dealer and he has only agreed to take his vehicle back. the dealer has requested the damage from the motor vehicle accident not be fixed by the insurance company. the damage prior to the sale was so extensive from water or flood damage that the engine is completely ruined. it will not pass emissions. my fear is that the next unsuspecting consumer will be deceived by this dealer and this vehicle and i believe the next person will not be as lucky. i should be dead right now. the airbag never deployed and i believe it should have, which may also indicate that their is also something wrong with the airbag system. there may not even be an air bag in this vehicle even though it states there is one. this dealer will get this vehicle back and i am sure that instead of selling it as a salvage vehicle he will again slap a price tag on it and re-sell it immediately without fixing it. dt

	Abs intermittently operates on turns, bumps and quick stops. in rain it will cause the vehicle to swerve ito other lane. dealer says they don't know whats wrong.

	Defective engine and throttle for a 1997 gm jimmy, vin 1gkcs13w9v2570916. bf while attempting to deactivate the cruise control, by pressing the brake pedal, the vehicle continued to accelerate. it was later determined that the cruise control module was the cause of the problem. the consumer had had other components of the vehicle replaced which include the brake pad sensor, brake pads, electrical wiring. on the day of delivery the vehicle's left front wheel assembly separated from the vehicle. this failure was due to the loss of four major bolt which held the assembly to the chassis. nm

	A/c compressor failures other- intake manifold coolant leak due to use of plastic intake manifold master cylinder failure (loss of pedal/leal). replaced master cylinder short time later same problem and dealer reported failure of anti lock computer at cost of $1200.00. repair refused and after a few weeks had them recheck master and they replaced the unit. no problem several months later.

	Dt:the contact stated the upper and lower ball joints on both sides broke while driving in a parking lot. the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership, where the ball joints and the anti lock brake sensors were replaced. contacted the manufacturer, there were nhtsa recalls 01i018000 and 01v200000, but this vehicle was not included in the recalls due to vin. in addition, this vehicle experienced several other problems as well. the left door broke off while in the driveway, the male joint of the door broke when shutting the door. also, the transmission and anti lock brakes were replaced. the anti lock brake sensor was replaced twice. *ak

	I was involved in a crash in june. a vehicle stopped in front of me and i struck the rear of that vehicle. the road was wet from rain. my brakes, all four wheels, locked up and i slid into that vehicle. no injuries. property damage probably $4,000. total brake lockup. had anti lock brakes worked properly i believe i would have plenty of room to stop and avoid crash. *jb

	Accident on abs failure about $2800. $850 out of my pocket for abs repair. windshield wipers work sometimes and sometimes they dont. mentioned windshield wiper not working to the tech at dealer. he said we have quite a few wiper problems on that model, i expect a recall soon. please let me know if there is anything i can do. thank you. *ak

	Ea94-038, under any braking and upon depressing brake pedal abs system kicked in, causing extended stopping distance and poor braking ability. consumer has contacted dealer. dealer has yet to replace parts. also, transmission has been replaced three times. please provide any further details. *ak

	Abs problems: during normal braking vehicle did not stop properly, which could cause a crash. this happened on dry or wet pavement. this problem has been reported to gmc. owner was told that there were no recalls on the truck for this reason. problem has not been corrected. please list any other concerns. *ak

	Vehicle has been having brake problems. dealer replaced all front brakes, but problem still occurs. mechanics has not found a remedy for defect. after pads were changed vehicle would still not stop. but, dealer was not able to identify cause of the problem. *ak

	When making a left or right turn there is grinding noise coming from the brakes. sometimes when hitting the brakes real quickly there is a grinding noise, and the pedal feels like it's backing up. dealer has done everything that could to correct this problem. but, problem still exists. please provide any further information.*ak

	I applied my brakes as i was coming up to an intersection. the abs engaged and the pedal was thrown to the floorboard the front tires then locked up and i skidded into the intersection. this was the second time this had happened. contacted gmc and was told there was not much i could do except get a new system.*ak

	When the brakes are applied under any type of weather conditions, consumer can hear the anti-skid system activate, but brakes release and the vehicle will keep rolling without braking speed. brake pedal goes all the way to the floor. dealer has been contacted. *ak

	Brake lights came on and would not go out until the brake light fuse blew out. replaced fuse and brake lights would not go out. this happened about 2-3 months ago and i took this vehicle to jones chevrolet in sumter, sc. they said they adjusted the brake light switch and corrected the problem. this time i took the vehicle to tim's auto pro in dalzell, sc to get it checked out. tim found that the wiring from the fuse block up under and behind the dash had shorted out due to the way it was installed originally at the factory. part of the wiring harness was chaffed in several places and the wiring melted together keeping our brake lights on. he removed the dash and associated items to get to the harness and repaired it so our brakes work and there are no shorts. my concern is that gmc should be paying for this repair since the harness was not installed properly when the vehicle was built. if by some chance the wiring had caught fire under the dash while my wife was driving her gmc jimmy down the road there could have been serious complications or loss of life. please check for me with gmc and see if this is a problem that has been reported on other gmc jimmy or blazer products.
