Daytime running lights go out when turn signals are activated. this goes from a safety feature to an unsafe feature. why should these daytime running lights go out when your driving down the highway and turn your turn signal on? it seems to me, it defeats it's own purpose. it's very hard for me to accept, that this feature was approved to work in this way.......thank you! *ak

The daytime running lights go off whenever the turn signal is used. when the turn signal is turned off, the daytime running lights turn back on. i consider this a safety defect because to oncoming drivers and also people ahead of you it appears you are signalling them. this is especially pronounced in heavy traffic with many lane changes. here in seattle, this may provoke an act of road rage as to the wrong person this light flashing could be interpreted as a hostile act.
