Defect Summary | Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line. | |||||||||||||||

Please help we recently purchased our son a 2004 gmc sierra pickup ,truck is excellent shape not to many miles etc. he has put about 200 miles on the truck and all of a sudden his speedometer quits his fuel gage wont register right,we take it in and they say it is a cluster panel problem cost about 600 to fix,they told me there is alot of this with this year model why is there not a recall ,i came home and researched the internet and found hundreds of complaints why is gm getting away with this hopefully there would be no deaths related to this but this is a problem hope you can help thanks *tr | |||

Internal failure of part in fuel tank that caused the fuel gauge to not read accurately, but allowed the low fuel light to operate correctly. this part was not a part of the fuel pump, but worked in conjunction with the pump as the pump was a warranty item ,and this part was not.*ak |
