 Tl* the contact owns a 2007 gmc sierra 2500. the contact stated that the vehicle was taken for state inspection when he was advised that the rear brakes were corroded. the vehicle was taken to the dealer for diagnostic where the rotors were replaced. the vehicle was repaired. the approximate failure mileage was 8,026.

 Gmc-chevrolet pickup trucks, year 2000 to current. brake rotors delaminating and rusting, causing brake disc pads not to grip the rotor. frequent problem causing brakes to work poorly. gmc refuses to replace poor quality brake rotors even under new car warranty. serious decay in braking from high speed, towing or with loads in the truck. dealer admits problem, factory refuses to fix. aftermarket rotors by ebc work properly for safety in stopping. ac delco rotors are seriously defective. narrowly avoided an accident with poor brakes on a truck 2 years old with 13,000 miles. well known problem discussed around the internet.

 Tl*the contact owns a 2007 gmc sierra 2500. on two separate occasions while driving downhill at 45 mph, the rotors became warped and began smoking. the contact smelled a burning odor. on each occasion, the dealer could not find any failures. the contact was concerned that his brakes would fail while driving down a hill. the current mileage was 24,000 and failure mileage was 22,000.
