Defect Summary | Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line. | |||||||||||||||

2002 gmc sierra 2500hd. consumer states problem with vehicle engine *tgw the consumer stated the engine would shut down while driving, loosing all power to the steering and brakes, and could not be started again, until the truck was put in park and the key removed from the ignition. there were also times, when the truck would not start at all. the dealer kept the truck for three weeks and they were unable to duplicate the problem. when the consumer picked the truck up and drove 10 miles, it shut down again. the consumer believed the problem was fuel related. *jb | |||

Tl*the contact owns a 2002 gmc sierra 2500 hd. the contact stated that his fuel injectors have failed. the dealer confirmed that the injectors were bad and five out of eight are leaking fuel which have a high return fuel rate. there are no related recalls or warranties. the contact was denied the warranty coverage that is 7 years 200,000 miles from the manufacturer. the failure mileage was 96,386. | |||

Tl* the contact owns a 2002 gmc sierra 2500 hd. the contact noticed fuel leakage on the rear bumper of his vehicle. fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source increased the risk for a fire hazard. the vehicle was taken to a local repair facility in which a mechanic concluded that the fuel injectors needed to be replaced. the vehicle has not been repaired. the current and failure mileages were 81000. |
