| I was parked in a friends driveway and was about to leave when i released the parking brake stepped on the brake pedal and put my 2002 gmc 2500hd truck into gear. i started driving down the street and approached a stop sign, when i applied the brakes the pedal went straight to the floor. i pulled off to the side of the road and opened the hood when i noticed brake fluid all over the frame in the engine compartment. upon further investigation i found all the brake lines to be severely rusted and at least one of them ruptured. i was driving with my 9 month old son at the time of the incident and thank god nobody was coming the other way down the road. i had the truck towed to my home where it sits awaiting a total brake line replacement. the underneath of the truck is so severely rusted i think gmc is liable and should issue a recall to correct the problem. | |||
