2004 gmc 2500hd had vehicle in for service in 2009. garage stated that all break lines were either rusted through or would shortly and needed to be replaced. i did not believe a vehicle with under 25k miles could have such an issue so the garage provided photos to show the extent of the rust and the leaking lines. i have since seen that the ntsb is investigating gmc trucks up to 2003 but it is clear that the problem is also present on 2004 models. repairs were ~$2900.
