| Defect Summary | Certain replacement fuel filters, fram brand name p/n g3727, with date codes x52911 through x60801 sequentially or x600141 and a mexico country or origin marking on the fuel filter housing manufactured from october 18, 2005, through march 21, 2006, sold for use on the vehicles listed above and on certain school buses. (to see the school bus engine sizes, click on document search and then bus applications). the connector on the fuel filter was not manufactured to honeywell's specification. as a result, the o-ring may not seat correctly on the fuel line. | |||||||||||||||

| There was a strong smell of gas in the car as well as another vehicle who pulled me over to tell me my truck was pouring gas. after having it towed to my mechanic, he informed me that the fuel pumped assembly had rotted and need to be replaced. he stated that this part should not have rotted like this. thankfully this was found before anything catastrophic had happened as i constantly driving around with my two young children in the car. i have kept the old part to show how it had rotted. i haven't heard of any recall for this but being that this situation was extremely dangerous i feel it warrants looking into. this was also an expensive fix and considering it should not have rotted like this, i feel i should receive reimbursement from the manufacturer. this is a huge health and safety issue that requires serious attention. | |||
