 Tl* the contact owns a 2008 gmc yukon denali. the contact stated that a child was seated in the third row seating and accidentally tangled the seat belt around his neck. the contact attempted to release the seat belt, but the seat belt was very tight and would not release. the contact had to call the authorities, who appeared on the scene to cut the seat belt loose. the vehicle was not taken to have the failure diagnosed or repaired. the manufacturer was notified and offered no assistance. the contact stated that she felt there should be an emergency release mechanism equipped with the seat belts in the event of a similar accident. the failure mileage was 70,000.
