Tl*the contact owns a 2007 gmc yukon xl 1500. the contact stated that the seat belts go into lock mode and do not provide any slack when they are pulled completely out. the failure could result in choking of a small child or a fatality should the brakes have to be applied immediately. the contact feels that there should be some sort of release button; however, the dealer and gmc stated that there was no accessible release button for the seat belts. the failure mileage was 29,000 and current mileage was 29,000. updated 3/5/08 *cn the consumer stated the belts locks the person in unless retracted completely and the vehicle needs an accessible release button. updated 03/05/08 *tr
