| Air conditioner compressor has gone out a total of 3 times and only has 70k miles. first time was around 12k miles, second time was around 33k miles and now it is not working at all and needs to be replaced again. *jb | |||

| I have taken my 2003 gmc yukon xl in for service on the air conditioner on more than one occasion. i recently moved from michigan to tennessee and while living in michigan i notices a squealing noise whenever i turned on my ac. the noise would last a few minutes and then stop. i also noticed a rattling noise upon acceleration while the ac was on. i took it to the dealer in michigan and at first nothing was found. i again took it to a dealership in tennessee and was told that it was a recycling switch, and it was replaced. now, almost i year later the same problem has occurred but unfortunately, my vehicle is now out of warranty (50,000 miles) and i am now told that the air compressor has completely failed. it will now cost me over $1,000 to repair on a car that is less than two years old. *jb | |||
