This needs to be looked at by gm. my uncle has a 2008 gmc yukon xl 4wd. when it is put in park it will roll away on its own. we first noticed it about 3 weeks ago, but thought it had to been that it was on ice or something and it rolled about 40-50 feet back. well last saturday i was helping to unload groceries out of it with my mom and uncle. just as i pulled the last bag out it rolled back. i seen the tires rolling. it almost ran me over, but i moved just in time to have it knock me on to my knees. well the driver door was open and it caught me and dragged me about 40-50 feet. well the tail gate hit me in the back of the head then the door got my arm pretty good. i am now going to the doctor for this. today, we moved it to see what it would do and sure enough it did it right away as to where before it would take 15-20 min. it was just parked, with the emergency brake on and low and behold it rolled away again. when it drug me before, i got in it afterwards and it was in park. not a driver error at all. i looked online and there are 2 other stories similar to this. someone is going to get killed by this issue if it is not dealt with. if it would of run over me, i would of died and it came damn close. we are going to set up an appointment monday to take it in. is there anything you need to know, like where when and so on? it left me in pretty well constant pain from putting my back and neck out of place and my arm hurts all the time. so please look into this before someone gets killed!
