TIRES - TREAD/BELT

Two kumho tires failed that were mounted as duals of the right rear axle of my 2002 gulfstream motorhome. the vehicle was not overloaded and tires were properly inflated (80 psi). we had just purchased the motorhome, first trip, and were driving between 55 and 60 mph. the highway was dry and the temperature was about 90 degrees f. we had driven about 175 miles when the failure occurred. the tires were made by kumho, size lt225/75 r-16 load range e. it appears the outside dual separated causing about $5,000 damage to the coach, to the inside dual causing it to blowout and severing the right rear brake line. no injuries. the dot number on the inside dual was h21lyd1p1004 and the tread depth was 11. *nm

I am a consumer with some serious problems with firestone tires! i am the owner of a 27 foot gulfstream rv. it being brand new, my first problems were with only ~ 6k000 miles on it--1/2 way across the us. the first tire tread separated--with the tire still full of air. then the treads wore out on he front at ~ 7000 miles. caused problems and big $$ to fix the front end...and 2 more new tires --not firestones. nother tire suddenly developed a huge bubble in the sidewall--had to replace out of my pocket-again! :-( last straw...may 26....taking my daughter (5 yrs old) with 5 of her friends on her birthday outing. another tire tread came off--again, with the tire still full of air. again, major damage to the rv, and ruined the day...4 hours later we were home...no party.... sirs, i cannot tell you how worried i am about a company who, just today, told the local tire dealer (about my situation) and i quote: we just have to wait for the rest of them to blow.............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what the......?!??????? i want to be reimbursed for damages and repairs, as well as replacements! i am having them all replaced and never with firestones again. so, how can you assist.*ak
