| Defect Summary | Gulf stream is recalling 26,847 my 2003-2006 recreational vehicles equipped with a two-door refrigerator manufactured by the dometic corporation. the refrigerator may have a defect in the boiler tube. pressurized coolant solution could be released into an area where an ignition source (gas flame) is present. | |||||||||||||||

| Corrective Summary | Gulf stream is working with dometic to repair these refrigerators (please see 08e032). dometic will repair these refrigerators by installing a secondary burn housing, a thermal fuse, and a melt fuse free of charge. dometic has retained stericycle inc. to manage this campaign. stericycle will assist the owner in locating dealerships or service centers and will provide assistance with scheduling of appointments. owners may contact dometic/stericycle at 1-888-446-5157 or gulf stream at 1-574-773-7761. | |||||||||||||||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2006 gulf stream ends-brook supreme (na). the vehicle has fts ultra crt tires, size st/225/75/r15 (na). while driving approximately 60 mph, the steel belt separated from the rear driver side tire, causing the tire to completely blow out. prior to operating the vehicle, the contact inspected the tire and concluded that the tire pressure and tread were normal. he had a technician inspect the tire, who confirmed that the steel belt detached from the interior sidewall of the tire. the contact still has possession of the tire. the vin and dot number were unknown. the failure and current mileages were 3,100. | |||
