I have manufactured and certified (per fmvss-218) my own motorcycle safety helmet and there has been no recall of that helmet. i still get stopped and cited by law enforcement for a violation of the helmet law. they state i was wearing a non-dot approved helmet. does dot approve helmets? if not, then please provide me with documentation that i can provide to law enforcement so they will stop citing me. *tr
