 Tl- the contact owns a 2007 harley davidson fxcd motorcycle. the contact stated the rear chain (sparked bolt scheard) caused failure with the driving system, causing the vehicle to become inoperable. the vehicle was taken to a private mechanic who replaced the chain and advised that the failure for was common for the particular model. the vehicle was not repaired. the manufacturer was not notified of the failure. the failure mileage was 10,000 and the current mileage was 10,300.00. kmj

 While attempting to negotiate a curve, the driver lost control leaving roadway. this was the first time it had happen. the insurance company declared the bike as a total lost with injuries to the diver as well. there was nothing done to correct the problem since, the driver was not aware of any recall at the time nor was informed of such recall by the manufacturer. i found out about the recall by looking it up on the inter-net. can't say if this was the cause,but it is a possibility. *tr
