Harley davidson horn doesn't work. the horn was replaced at 1000 miles. still doesn't work. it sounds like a wounded duck. harley dealer says the horn is fine and that you must be running the engine at 2000 rpm for the horn to work. it worked fine when purchased. i say its a defect in manufacturing. if you need the horn you must be driving at 2000 rpm or better. makes no sense. you must investigate this problem. someone will get hurt. *nm | |||

2004 flhtcui harley-davidson horn issue. does not operate correctly. it appears that not enough power is getting to the horn and it becomes a 50-50 chance that the horn might work. took it to the hd shop 3 times and all 3 times they said they could not duplicate the issue. the second time i even paid for a new horn as to eliminate one possible item. same issue with new horn. the 3rd time the hd shop said that harley-davidson said that the bike needs to be running for the horn to work correctly. again the shop could not duplicate the issue. each time i took the bike home from the shop, the horn only worked 50% of the time. hot, cold, dry, wet, low speed, high speed...it doesn't matter. this started around june, 2005. bike is still in warranty. *nm |
