| Odi determined that two subject trailers experienced complete frame separations. heil had initiated an owner notification program, which paid for the complete repair of all subject trailers.given that the subject trailers were fuel tankers, odi was concerned about heil's decision to conduct a field action in lieu of a safety recall.after reviewing heil's prior recall history and discussing the failures with involved fleets, odi contacted heil to discuss the matter.during our discussion, the safety risks associated with a 6,000 gallon gasoline tanker separating from the tow bar mechanism were discussed. as a result, heil decided to conduct a safety recall. | ||||||

| Tl*- the contact owns a 5th wheel 2005 heartland landmark grand canyon rv. the vehicle was purchased on december 21, 2006. after driving the vehicle home noticed water coming from the bottom of the camper, and it was sagging from the bottom. the contact scheduled an appointment on january 6, 2007. the dealer noticed the 5th wheel frame was cracked and stated that the crack was in the i-beam of the frame. the rv dealer would not give refunds, nor did he want a non resalable camper on his lot. the contact called the attorney generals office in indiana and filed a complaint. the contact felt that the dealer sold her a vehicle that was unsafe. *ak | |||
