Defect SummaryOn certain motorhomes equipped with cummins engines, oil can leak into the engine compartment from a crack in the cup plug.
Consequence SummaryOil leakage on a hot engine can result in an engine compartment fire, possibly resulting in injuries.
Corrective SummaryCummins is conducting the owner notification and remedy for this campaign. cummins will install a steel cup plug boss cap to all affected engines. owners should contact cummins customer assistance center at 1-800-343-7357 or monaco at 1-800-685-6545.

Defect SummaryCertain motorhomes fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 207, seating systems, and no. 210 seat belt assembly anchorages. the seat belt anchorage bolts can fail.
Consequence SummaryThe seat belt buckle anchorage can separate from the seat frame, which could result in a crash.

Defect SummaryOn certain motorhomes, the i-beam leaf imitator in the front axle suspension could crack and break due to an inadequate welding process.
Consequence SummaryThe i-beams on the front axle and the panard bracket on the rear axle could crack and break causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle increasing the risk of a crash.
Corrective SummaryDealers will replace the original i-beam. also, dealers will weld the stiffeners from the panard bar bracket to the center differential of the rear axle housing. owner notification began march 1, 2004. owners should contact monaco at 1-877-466-6226.

 Hr ambassador 2004 38 foot roadmaster chassis. frame inspection completed at kaiser brake and alignment today. they found a 3/8 inch crack in each trailing arm just above the shim between the axel and the arm. the tech said this is an on going problem with this 4 bag configuration. monaco has a kit which is available with a stronger thicker walled arm and new u bolts. any info out there on this potentially catastrophic cracking problem?? *tr thanks, ed

 Tl*the contact owns a 2004 holiday ambassador. the contact noticed that the vehicles trailer arm had fractured similar to nhtsa campaign id number:04v038000 ( suspension:front). the contact did not inform the dealer of the failure. the manufacturer was informed; however, they did not provide any assistance. no repairs had been made. the current and failure mileages were 56,000.
