| Complaint about warranty problems.*mr the front nose cap developed spider cracks. the dealer replaced the front nose cap. the radio and gas detector fuses blew. a short in the wiring behind the wall caused the monitor panel to go out. the rv's refrigerator would not work on propane or ac currant. the technician indicated that the 12 volt wires were off the pc board and re-attached them. when the consumer arrived home and let the slide out he noticed that the refrigerator was not working again. the consumer took the refrigerator panel off and saw that the 12 volt wire were pulled off the pc board and they were to short to be re-attached. when the slide was let in the wires became longer (holiday rambler aluma-lite). *nlm *jb | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2001 holiday rambler ambassador. the contact stated that while driving approximately 50 mph on normal road conditions. there was a strong burning odor from the brakes. the abs warning light indicator illuminated on the instrument panel. the driver pulled over to the side of the road. the rv was inspected and smoke was coming from the 4- wheel disc brakes. the rv resumed operation after waiting for the brakes to cool off. the warning indicator remained illuminated until the engine was turned off. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer for inspection and was repaired for the failure. the vehicle was taken to an authorized dealer on two separate occasions for identical failures and repaired. there was a recall under nhtsa campaign id number 02v278000 (service brakes, hydraulic:foundation components). the rv was repaired the repair remedy was insufficient and did not address the recall defect the failure mileage was 3,000 and the current mileage was 51,000. updated 10/13/09. *lj updated 10/15/09. the consumer faxed over his complaint and wanted to know the status. updated 01/21/10 | |||

| Tl*the contact owns a 2001 holiday rambler rv. the contact received recall notices #50901-c and 59190-000 from workhorse for the brakes on the chassis. the rear brake caliper does not release and was twisted which could result in a fire. the contact paid $1,200 to have the caliper replaced. the manufacturer advised the contact to speak with workhorse regarding the chassis repair. the failure mileage was 63,025. | |||
