| I had a sudden fallen transmission problem while i was driving the car started jerking and loose speed due to the transmission not putting in the gears it got over heated fast and i was in traffic and had a stranger help me push it to the side and aaa towed it to my home then the next morning towed it to the dealer and the dealer said i need a new transmission after readind comments on motor trend.com honda failed to send me a recall notice about my transmission. the 2004 accordv6 obviously have transmission defects and i want my transmission paid for from honda im really upset and honda corp.needs to pay for this. | |||

| At 57 to 60 mph, when accelerating the whole car shudders. was told the front axles needed to be replaced. i did some research and found this is a very common problem with honda accord from 1997 to 2005. one piece of anecdotal evidence from a honda repair technician was that he saw this problem at least once a day. this has to be a produce defect for this to happen so frequently. i am not sure of the ramifications of this problem on vehicle safety if left unrepaired but i have to imagine any problem with an axle could be potentially serious and/or life threatening. | |||

| Audio-hvac display module is dim or dark: the audio display and controls (knobs, buttons, bars) of the audio-hvac display module are dim or are dark. there is a known problem with the honda accords 2003-2007 where one of the components of the printed circuit board ( pcb) which controls the center audio console fails and then the whole audio console goes dark. so when you are driving the car, you cannot see any button or knob on the center console. it's almost impossible to change the heat / cool , the fan speed or any function that is controlled by the counter console. honda initially sent out a technical service bulletin and they extended the warranty on the audio console to 7 years /100, 000 miles. but the problem still exists in a large number of cars. this is not like a transmission or a brake issue which can wear down over a number of years. this is a problem with the electronics on the car and should be escalated to a recall. this is a very dangerous problem as the console lighting does completely dark and the driver cannot see or locate any controls within the car. this can cause serious problem when driving and should be addressed immediately. honda has issues a technical service bulletin number 04-027. this bulletin in the proof that honda knows about the problem. the extended warranty that honda has offered is of no use because a lot of people who have this problem are out of the warranty terms ( 7 years // 100,000 miles) this should be a recall item and the national highway safety institute should force honda to repair this component in the car irrespective of the miles or the number of years. the fact of the matter is that this is a manufacturing defect and is not related to break down of a components because of miles or years. there is no wear and tear involved with printed circuit boards. | My car started bucking about two weeks after i had it inspected in july. also the drive light was blinking and the check maintenance light came on. at one point i was alone and far from home and the car would not go into reverse. i contacted a mechanic i know well who told me there was a safety issue and that i should try to drive the car to the transmission place he recommended. for several miles the car bucked and i wasn't sure whether i would get there or not, but i did. very scary. not sure this sure happen with a car that only has 76,500 miles on it and i am the only owner. | |||

| The transmission is fail according to honda dealer inspection, honda dealer does not take any responsability of the transmission problem neither the honda manufacturer. air condition does not cool on even it was repaired once but it still does not work. | |||

| On december 30, 2011 the back-light on my radio stereo as well as the a/c panel went out. this poses a safety issue because 1. during storms or bad weather, i cannot see what station to turn the radio for tornado warnings or weather updates. 2. to adjust a/c or heater settings, i must take my focus off the road to turn on the overhead light and adjust settings. 3. in weather conditions such as high fog or where you need to use a defrost, i must must take my focus off the road to turn on the overhead light and adjust settings. | |||

| The consult circut board that lights up where to find the defroster, heater, stero, ac is totally dark. this is a safety issue and i must turn on a light to see the controls and i feel this is a great safety issue and should be a recall for all honda's since i have read on line how many people had had this problem. i was never notifed by honda that they would fix it free (possible) if you get your car there before 7yrs or 100,000 miles but they keep that very quiet. i was so busy paying to keep my home and honda never sent me any word on this and problem. | |||

| I own a 2004 honda accord ex coupe v6 engine...and the transmission has failed at 79,000k miles. a safety issue because i was almost rear-ended as i was trying to go up a hill and the car did not want to go forward anymore although it was in drive and i was pressing the gas...it kept rolling backwards as if it was in reverse, and i have an automatic transmission!!!! this seems to be an ongoing problem for this make and model of this year's vehicle...i want to join the other thousands of people out their to report this as a safety problem, it couldv'e cost me my life an anybody that was behind me! | |||

| I purchesed a 2004 honda accord in october of 2008, the car was running and fucntioning well until the year 2010 where i started to have problems with the radio not working, the transmission failed and now in 2011 had to replace the sop ecm (per hoda dealer the memory card of the car), i have spent more than $6,000 on this car because i had had so many major a minor problems with it. and even though i have followed the schedule maintainance visits to the dealer this car still reflecting problems. i have gotten eveything fixed till this moment and im afraid the car will still give me problems in the future. | |||

| I was driving to work on 9/21/2010. traffic was coming to a stop and i began to apply my brake. upon applying brake my vehicle accelerrated causing me to rear end another vehicle. my air bags did not deploy and i'm not sure what my rate of speed was because i was trying to stop when the car accelerrated. my front end is damaged to the tune of $4,886.08. after my accident i was confused about how it happened. i knew i had was paying attention on just didn't ram into another car. i was on a street was several school bus stops and they where making their rounds. so speeding is not an option. i was talking with my fiance and he stated that this has happened to him once while driving my car. he did not have an accident, and also thought it may or may not have been operator error it kinda shocked and confused him as well. i'm going to have my vehicle checked while being repaired. i just want this looked into this was really scary and could have ended up much worse. | |||

| 04 honda accord lx 4dr sdn silver. when brakeing at stop-light or other stops car suddendly accelerates and i have to quickly shove it neutrel it revs to high rpms a finally returns to normal rpms,it has happened on dates 2-8-10 4-5-10 4-23-10 and 5-17-10 was towed to russell & smith honda,in houston tx.i watched them do tests on car's computor. i did'nt understand all the tech part but they said everything checked ok. i have the feeling they don' believe me. it's at the dealership as of this date 5-21-10 and i'meeting with them today at above date. i'm really afraid of driving it !! incidents dates i just put the first of 4 below i left out one thing while i was in the office and the car went back to the service-bay the srrvice manager told me they up-dating the software on the car's computor.quote we don't tell that to honda | |||

| I own a 2004 v6 honda accord with 62k miles on it. while driving on 5/7/10, the car suddenly accelerated by itself, my tachometer jumped up to 7 (red area), i used brakes and it slowed down some, then it sped up again, then it dropped down to no power. i almost had an accident and was very shaken up but managed to pull out of traffic and over. the car was towed to anderson honda in balimore city, maryland. something is very wrong with this car.please investigate so that it will not happen to other people. i did call honda headquarters, too and reported this. | |||

| I was driving on the parkway and the gas pedal engaged itself and accelerated by itself. i was trying to break but the break pedal also was locked and i had to move away from car to car so that i would not hit them and then finally the pedal released itself and reduced the speed. i took the car to honda and i am waiting for them to tell me what to do next. | |||
