My car started having issues with the lights. the indoor and outdoor lights would continually fade out and then return and then fade again. often i had no lights on my dash or radio. my windows stopped working automatically on the right side. we could not lower the window. the locks stopped working occasionally. all of this is something i had a problem with my other honda as well. it was the same make model and year!! i thought it was just a fluke but when i got this car the same problems started. *tr

Car was running fine. no problems. all of a sudden the airbag light came on. i stopped the car and checked the seat on the passenger side and seat belts trying to figure out why it was on. i got back into the car and continued home. when slowing to turn into driveway a loud banging noise occured. the car was put in park and immediately started rolling backwards. this could have been a hazard if a car had been passing by or if this had happened in busy traffic. i could have rolled back and hurt someone, hurt myself or rolled back into oncoming trafic. also if someone had been walking behind the car and gotten ran over and killed. anyway it was later towed to a dealer and diagnostics ran. the dealer informed me that i needed a new transmission. that is not right. my car was like new with a little over 68 thousand miles on it. i still owe on it and purchased it brand new. honda should be responsible for this. since this has happened to me and i have begun to research this i found a ton of recalls for this same problem, yet i am told my car is a 6 cylinder and is not under recall. please help. i was told it would cost me 4400 plus $ to replace the transmission. honda should be responsible for this cost.

Over 6 months ago, i noticed that the light which shows what gear you are in on the shift column on the floorboard wasn't staying lit. sometimes it would come on when i started the car and other times not. sometimes if i thumped on the shifter on purpose, it would come back on. then several weeks ago my radio stopped working. at first there was no sound but then a very loud weird noise started happening and it is extremely loud. the only way to stop the noise is to turn the radio off. then at other times you turn on the radio and it works fine. not long after that i was driving one night and all the lights on the dash flicked off and on again very quickly. it did it several times during my 3 hour trip and then stopped and i hadn't noticed it again until today. today my husband was driving and the check engine light came on and stayed on. i know sometimes if you don't click your fuel cap three times after refueling it can cause the light to come on but i have not refueled in several weeks. a few minutes later the abs light came on, went off and then came on again. shortly after this, all the lights on the dash flashed on and off again several times very quickly. the battery is not that old and this can happen whether it's wet or dry conditions. the user manual said the check engine light is emission related but there are so many other things happening that i wonder if this is some sort of electrical problem. it is scary when it happens because suddenly all the lights on the dash cannot be seen so you can't see the spedometer needle or anything. it's ok if it happens in daylight but is truly unsafe if it happens at night.

Tl- the contact owns a 2005 honda accord. the contact stated the head lights dim when the cooling fan is running. the contact stated the cooling fan cycles in and out even if the air conditioning is not running. the dealer stated they were of aware of this failure and that the fuse box needed to be replaced. the article shown to the contact stating this was from 2000 and the vehicle is 2005. this did not fix the failure and the dealer has stated this is the best they can do. the vin was not available at the time of the complaint.the failure mileage was 46000 and the current mileage was 47700.rl

The airbag warning light on my 2005 honda accord ex-l was illuminated. i took the vehicle to my honda dealer and they replaced the wiring subharness. this was the same symptom, issue and resolution as nhtsa campaign #06e064000. my vehicle was not in the included in the vin numbers recalled per that campaign and i feel that honda didn't resolve the manufacturing defect by the time my vehicle was produced. in other words, i don't think honda recalled all vehicles affected. *tr

Loss of lights on controls for heating, defrost and all other climate controls. over a period of several weeks, i had an intermittent loss of backlight to the climate controls for my car. this presents a hazard during nighttime driving as the dome lights must be switched on and it takes longer to find the appropriate control for defrost for the windshield. this is also related to the backlight on the radio, which was a known problem with honda accords for a very long time. the lights would go out, then come back on again when i went over a bump or turned the headlights on or off (indicating an electrical instead of bulb problem). the loss of function increased gradually in terms of number of outages, length and duration. the car was taken in after two near accidents due to trying to turn on the defroster while driving. despite a known problem with prior year accords in the exact same system, for which honda has issued recalls, i did have to pay for the repair. *tr

Exterior lights (headlights) had to be replaced twice. as i your recall listing honda accord had recall on 1/30/2007 and we were not notified of this action. 1. 11/24/2007--driver side...$13.00 2. 01/12/2007---replaced at n/c. we are wondering why we did not get a recall notification? also hazard indicator has failed or does not stay lit as designed. repaired once. *tr
