| My 05 honda accord v6 auto transmission gave up on me only at 65000 miles. honda does not want to pay for it because the warranty has expired and they quoted me over $4400 to replace it with a new one but the only has 65k miles on it. i'll never buy another honda for this reason. | |||

| Door lock remote fails to open locks. if i'm inside the car, sometimes the driver's door lock will be jammed down, and key will not open from outside. nothing worked, i had to crawl over the console and exit by the passenger door. definitely a safety issue, since it could happen in an emergency. | |||

| My car started having issues with the lights. the indoor and outdoor lights would continually fade out and then return and then fade again. often i had no lights on my dash or radio. my windows stopped working automatically on the right side. we could not lower the window. the locks stopped working occasionally. all of this is something i had a problem with my other honda as well. it was the same make model and year!! i thought it was just a fluke but when i got this car the same problems started. | |||

| The stereo display went completely out. then the radio started scanning radio stations. it is now stuck on some static sounding weather radar station. off & on works but nothing else (e.g . volume, mode, load or eject, station tuning...) i have a library cd in the unit and am unable to eject it. | |||

| 2005 accord 2.4 liter a/c stopped working. was told condenser had a hole caused by a rock. researched and found that numerous owners of honda products have had the same issue. honda needs to redesign the lay out and location of the a/c condenser or provide some sort of warranty and protection if they are not going to pay for the repair or replacement of the required parts. with the current design it is a money maker for honda. now it is going to cost me hundreds of dollars for the repairs that honda should be paying for due to their poor design. | |||

| My air bag light was lit,i took it to honda they re-set something, 5 minutes later as i was leaving it lit up again. took it back they said they had to do diagnostics, ordered a wiring harness,installed that. i drove to florida and back 1300 miles round trip and the light is back on meaning my bags will not deploy. i have had a very difficult time getting this addressed. honda (apple tree in fletcher , nc) had my car from tue-sat and i had to rent a car due to their negligence. now i have to drive back over there 1 1/2 hour drive one way and see what is going on. i noticed there have been similar issues, but that my vin was not covered. please advise. i am still driving an unsafe car and have spent countless hours going back and forth and paying for a rental car. | |||

| Driving down the street when the malfunction indicator light went on. within 5 seconds the engine stalled. was able to pull to side of road and stop the vehicle. turned off the ignition and was able to start the vehicle. this matches the scenario as outlined in recall #59558. contacted local dealer and honda america and was advised that my vehicle is not part of the recall. | |||

| The passenger side door handle cable has a small plastic anchor that anchors the cable to to the inside of the door panel. the plastic piece was severed into two pieces by the metal grip that holds it in place. the end resullt is the passenger door can not be opened from the inside. if something was to happen and i needed to esacpe the vehicle from the passenger side, i would not have access to do so. i believe the plastic anchor breaking is a defect caused by inherently bad design of a plastic item locking into a metal item. | |||

| On saturday at 11:50 pm, i was cruising at the 169th & maple rd, omaha, ne parking lot.. at a front parking junction, i made a right turn at about 2-3 mph speed. i slowed and braked for a pedestrian walking across my path. my car started revving and accelerating rapidly. i immediately pressed the brake pedals harder. the harder i pressed, the harder the acceleration became. i became very concerned and scared that the car might accelerate suddenly and may cause a terrible accident. i quickly move the gear hand pedal shifters foward to (p)ark. the car jerked forward a bit and then stood still; however, the engine started revving with a loud din and then back to normal.i started to slowly move the gear back into (d)rive mode. the car behaved normally and i parked my car in a available parking slot. prior to this incident, i had a minor incident similar to this. this was a about 2 weeks back. i was slowed and stopped at a traffic light to make a right turn to maple. while in stop mode pressing the brake, the car started jerking and accelerating forward slowly. i quickly pressed the brake harder and it jerked forward and stopped. at that point, i just shrugged it off, thinking that was unusual but wasn't really bad to take issue. all this happened when i changed my accord hybrid battery and a hybrid controller over a month back when i had a hybrid battery and the controller that needed to be replace on account of a safety issue with the car. the car felt ok after the change. however, i had the car since 2005 and never did i encounter a sudden acceleration on this car, not once until after the battery and controller change. i can only relate now to what actually has happened and is very concerned for my life and my family to whoever drives the vehicle. | |||

| As accelerating the vehicle a hard jerk happens while shifting gears from 1 to 2nd gear. the rpms go extremely high even if you accelerate the car gently and once you let go the car takes a couple of seconds to drop the rpms and you feel the jerk and then the thump. if i need to brake suddenly the car makes like a thump sound and the transmission feels and sound abnormal. this only occurs when you first accelerate the car and you're going from first to second gear. it doesn't happen on any other gears. i haven't felt this in any other car. this incident with the gear change happens always with the car, in the mornings, at an signal intersection, and/or leaving any place. it also occurs recurrently. | |||

| Service engine soon light comes on and it indicates that the throttle postion sensor is defective i brought the car a month ago and it only has 64k on it. my experiences with this code are bucking and jerking of the car idling surges sudden stalling hesitation while driving and a sudden surge in speed while driving on the parkway also my fuel drops drastically. i called honda and i was told by a service repairman that i need to change the tps sensor but i would have to buy the whole throttle body totaling 500 since the tps sensor($45) is not sold separately. also this is causing my shifter to get stuck i cannot shift my car into drive | |||

| I brought the car in april while driving home from the dealer i noticed that when applying the brake (slowly) before coming into a complete stop the brake pedal would lock up, release and then come to a complete stop slow acceleration i wasnt able to pick up speed once it did the check engine light would come on code p0122 throttle pedal postion sensor | |||

| During the cooler season, while parked the brake vacuum system lose the brake vacuum. so when you get in and press on the brake pedal it is hard since there is no more vacuum in the brake booster. this is dangerous if you are parked on a hill with vehicles around you. you could end up hitting another vehicle. i am concerned that the brake vacuum system could fail while driving making braking ineffective. | |||

| Honda 2005 accord ex: my power windows will not always function. window will not go down when switch is pressed. if it is down, it will not come up. neither direction works correctly. this has been happening for almost 5 months. this week the window went down while i was driving but had not pressed the switch. our honda fit 2007 just received a recall notice for this exact issue. is there also a problem with honda accord 2005? | |||

| I purchase this vehicle on april 28th 2008. the carfax report had an accident indicator by the second owner, but did not mention what type of accident in terms of moderate, minor, no damage, etc. this report was printed march 24th 2008. when i bought the vehicle the air bag light was on, and when driving; it still stayed on and i told atlanta used car dealership, who told me to take it to the honda dealership to look at it and stated that its probably a glitch. i took the vehicle to the honda car dealership to inspect. the honda dealership found the srs control unit and the passenger side curtain airbag faulty. as stated on my customer invoice from gwinnett place honda, the passenger side air bag appeared to be cut out. carfax did not report that there is a deficient airbag. another incident found is that the accelerator occasionally stick when trying to depress. the honda dealership found there was a carbon build up and it needed service. the dealer replaced the right outer tie rod end, which is on the right passenger where the accident occurred. the dealer stated it was unsafe for me to drive without replacing the tie rod, which was serviced and they also performed a 4 wheel alignment and test drive before i left. my experience has led me to take the initiative to communicate with my attorney general's office, and other consumer protection agencies to report this incident. sincerely, olutomilola aiyetiwa *tr | |||
