| Airbag light stayed on without accident. i brought it to dealership and they did a diagnostic scan. the guy said driver positon sensor harness is broken. i researched this problem and its look like this a common problem with honda. i called honda and they said the vin is not included in the recall. honda must be increase the scope of the recall!!! *tr | |||

| My husband was on his way home when his left turn light turned green. a lady ran the red light and t-boned our car. the car is totaled. my husband suffered injuries, was knocked out and has concussion. not one of the air bags went off and our car was loaded with bags in front and back seats. it is the reason why we purchased the car. we called honda america and all they did was listen and told us to contact our dealer where we purchased the car to have them look at it. the dealer laughed and told us they have nothing to do with the manufacturing of the car. honda america told us to also have our insurance company figure out when happened. we talked to our insurance company and they said they could wrap the honda and send it to honda america, but honda america said they don't have a place for the honda to be looked at. honda america needs to take responsibility!!!! called an accident attorney to deal with honda america. *tr | |||

| My srs light indicating a malfunctioning of the front airbags came up just when i closed the dashboard cabin. when reported this to honda dealer they say it is not covered under warranty and they don't know how it came up as this light should only turn on incase of accident. now they want me to pay $1100 - $1200 to replace the whole srs unit. please suggest. *tr | |||

| I was in a high speed motor vehicle crash along with a coworker that i car pool with in the 2006 accord when a dog ran out in front of the car at 4:30 am on the highway on my way to work. i was traveling at approximately 70-75 mph, braked and swerved, but still hit the dog at high speed. the dog was of medium to large size approximately 60-70 lbs and caused considerable damage to the front bumper. i then lost control of the car, went of the road , and the vehicle rolled at least 3 times. the vehicle sustained a great amount of damage to the front bumper as well as to the entire passenger side of the car, yet no airbags deployed. i was told by my honda dealership that the sensors for the airbags were very small and must be hit directly in order for the airbags to deploy, so the sensors must not have been hit just right , and there was probably no reason to be concerned. however, anyone who saw the damage to my car, including state troopers, ems, tow truck drivers, as well as family and friends, all stated that the airbags should have deployed in this instance. i did not find that these airbags to be very beneficial if what the person at the honda dealership said was true. both my passenger and i suffered whiplash, back and neck strain, and mild concussions, thankfully that was all. however i could not help but wonder if the airbags would have saved us from the injuries we did sustain. the car was totaled by insurance company . therefore, no repairs have been done. i am debating whether to file a complaint with honda regarding a possible defect in airbag sensors.*ak | |||

| I purchased a new 2006 honda accord 4 door ex-v6 in dec. 2005 vin-1hgcm66516a009947. on 2-20-2007 i was involved in a frontal collision with another car, i sustained damaged front bumper, hood, driver's side fender, radiator. the problem is that my air bags failed to deploy. both myself and my passenger were wearing seat & shoulder belts and were not hurt. this vehicle had never been in an accident before the accident on 2-20-2007. i'm reporting defective air bags. *nm | |||

| Was driving my 2006 honda accord ex sedan on the highway and the driver-side curtain and seat airbags deployed without incident. there was no accident or impact of any kind. the airbags just deployed. likewise, the driver's seat belt tightened and will not pull or retract. luckily i was able to keep the car under control and not wreck, despite being caught off guard. nothing was done to correct this failure. honda indicated that there are no recalls and they are unaware of any related issues. honda suggested i call my insurance who told me that it was a mechanical failure and therefore not covered. *tr | |||
