2009 honda accord coupe with a/c problem. a/c blows dangerously hot air while at a stop. the air continues to blow hot air until you start driving again. the temperatures quickly rises to unknown temperature but it feels like we are in a swet box. may pose threat to health due to extended periods of extreme heat. the vehicle has been to a local honda dealer six times now since may 2010. many hoses have been reported to have leaks, condersor reported to be bad, compressor reported bad, clutch reported bad, low freon reported, pipes reported to be bad and seals on pipes and hoses reported leaking. it is suspected that the dealer and honda manufacture has not found a solution. both parties are in communication with one another with no results thus far. the dealer has now had the vehicle for two working weeks as of 10-22-2010 with no explination to what the problem is. the dealer has replicated the a/c blowing hot air numerous times. overall, since may 2010, the dealer has had possesion of the vehicle for approx. 30 days during the six dealer visits and repairs. online research may show extensive a/c problems with many of the honda models. further evaluation is requested as hot blowing a/c air pose a health threat especially in a warm climate such as florida's summer.

I had just bought a 2010 honda accord which i had purchase in october 20 09, 3 weeks old approximately. i get in my vehicle to turn the air condition on november 1 and found out that it only blew out hot air. i take it to the local honda dealer, they stated a pebble or foreign object got up to the condenser and punctured it which made it unable to function. the cost of repair is about 600 dollars. for honda to be number one for good value with there cars it is not apparent now. i purchased the extended warranty and it is not covered due to road debris not manufacture malfunction. this problem seems to consistent with a lot of their vehicles not only do i have make monthly payments on this car now i am paying for it to be repair when it is not even a month old. *tr

My 2009 honda accord ex with only 32k miles on it started to consume oil very quickly. while the % oil life remaining indicator said i have 30% life remaining, the dipstick did not register any oil on it. i'm glad that i checked, because i shudder at the possibility of a car crash due to the engine dying on the highway. when i took the car to the dealership, they handed my a printed out sheet that stated that a loss of 1 qt per 1000miles is considered normal. how is that possible??? this is a serious defect that honda does not want to admit to.

I own a 2009 honda accord ex-l. i am having problems with the engine not accelerating when needed to in emergency. i have come close to accidents twice so far on the highway since the car would not give me pick up when i needed to steer clear of trucks and cars. i have complained to two dealers, one in new jersey and the other in mass. both dealers told me that the car is fine when it isnt. at full throttle going from 1000rpm upto 6000rpm there is no pick up what so ever. it is the same as going normal speed and pick up. this is a family car and i drive with my two kids in there less then 5 yrs of age. i've had this issue since i purchased the car and it was my mistake that i did not test drive it prior to purchase. i've owned several honda accords since 96 and none of them have had this serious dangerous problem. please look into this issue. i am stuck with an expensive lemon.
