Defect Summary	Certain motorcycles have an improper welded vent pipe in the bottom of the fuel tank. due to vibration the improperly welded tanks may crack and drip fuel.
Consequence Summary	Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source can result in a fire.

	Male was killed on a motorcycle cbr 1000rr. after his death i have received two recalls i also notified american honda motor co, inc they sent out a private investigator to look at the bike to see if they were any defects he took alot of pictures couple months went by i received a call stating there was nothing wrong with the bike. i asked the investigator, how can you tell me this when the bike was never taken to check for any defects you cant just take pictures? you need to really have a professional pick up the bike and really go through an inspection i was told ok ill give you a call back i never received a call back. the bike was brand new i need some closure to this i really need a professional to see if the brakes locked up we lost a big part of our family my nephew. *tr
