| Driving at 55 mph a ford focus pulled straight out in front of me and came to a stop. i was approximately 1 car length away when they did this so i did not have time to stop and could not pull out around them because i would have been in oncoming traffic. i t-boned this vehicle doing 55 mph and they were stopped. my front end hit directly on their front drivers side. their front left fender and tire were bent in and both of their front air bags deployed. my whole front end was crushed in and the center of my hood looked like i hit a tree. none of my air bags deployed. if i had not been wearing my seat belt i would have been more seriously injured than i was. where are the sensors for air bag deployment? shouldn't mine have deployed? | |||

| I own a 1998 honda civic lx, and the srs light on. it cost me 64.00 to tell me there was nothing wrong. the honda dealership said if goes on again they will replace the computer chip and will cost $500.00 to $700.00 to do that. they don't know what's causing it. i went on the internet and found lots of other people with honda's with the same problem. it appears honda is not taking the blame for it. how safe is it for me to drive my car with knowing the airbags won't go off? i feel this is a very unsafe situation driving my car, knowing the light can be set off at any time, and the dealership has no idea what's causing this? i'm a little skeptical about the honda dealership. after reading all the complaints, many people seem to be having the same problem. *la | |||

| My car is totaled by another drivers negligence; i was told by a lawyer that because my son and i were not killed in the accident we could not file a claim against the manufactor for the airbags not deploying even though it was a head on colllison. i called the manufactor and all the lady told me was that she would send me a brochure on how the airbags worked. i know my son and i were extremely lucky in this accident, however i still think something is wrong with the attitude i have received. i still have to live with the pain of hearing my sons voice scream in terror over and over again in my head and i think its one of the worst things a mother has to go through with her child. | |||

| On feb. 10, 2008, i was driving my honda civic lx on highway 400, junction 89, my car lost control, and because there were snow on the ground, i cannot stop the car, i keep on pumping the brake, as if i used the abs, i would have slide down to the valley. however, i was not able to have control of the car at all and it hit head on the guard rail, the whole front and engine was completely crushed. with such kind of impact, the air bag should deploy, but it did not deploy, the car was unrepairable and is a total write off. the police and the ambulance took me to the hospital. however, this is not the first time that the air bag did not deploy, as one time a woman came out from a plaza without looking that it is all clear, her truck hit the right side and the right front of my car, the air bag did not deploy either. *tr | |||

| I am looking for help. my 98 honda civics airbags deployed for no reason at all. i parked my vehicle, turned the ignition off & both air bags exploded in my face! don carlton honda in tulsa did look at the car & stated it is not their problem. my insurance company says the damage is not covered because it is a manufacturer malfunction. as i am conducting my research, i found that the inferior algorithms is a known airbag defect and that they can deploy or fire for no reason, which is exactly what happened to me. the dealership does not believe me. i am out $3,800 assett, i have no transportation, i am a single mother going to school full time, this is very stressful. i am so afraid that this could have happened as i was traveling down the highway at 65 mph with my 2 yr old in the car! we could have been killed! how many other honda drivers are at risk? *tr the consumer stated incured $188 in tow charges and would like to be reimbursed for such charges. the consumer provided pictures of the defect, recall notice, and the value of the vehicle obtained through kelley blue book. updated 12/12/07 *tr | |||
