Recently i was in a near head-on collision with my 2000 honda civic ex and i have a concern with how the civic reacted during the collision. i would first like you provide the circumstances of the accident. i was struck by an oncoming truck as i began a left-hand turn. i had completely stopped before i was hit. the driver stated he was doing 45mph, and he was driving a 1997 toyota tacoma. the damage to the civic was completely to the front engine compartment, and both airbags did deploy. my safety concern is that the latched back seat section behind the driver seat (the back seat folds down, in 2 sections, to create more room with the trunk) became unlatched when the car was hit and fell completely forward. isnt this where infants and children are to be put? how would this have affected an infant or child if they had been in the car?*ak
