I have a new set of tires and i am surprise when you start moving it makes noise that seems coming from the wheels/tires and goes away when you slow down. it's more audible in the rear, i don't know if its the suspension or rear control arms that wear out during the years.

We bought this car new from the dealer in '07. we have been putting 3 to 4 sets of tires on this car per year, for the last five years, that is not acceptable....it runs in to money and is very unsafe in the winter time. while checking on the internet, i found alot of other people with the same problem. we all feel this should be a recall. even replacing the rear upper control arms does not fix the problem, we have tried, and so have others. this comes from the factory. honda prides themselves on safety...this is not safe...the car is constantly fighting with itself on the road therefore wearing tires. please consider a recall on this vehicle. 08 001 was a code i read on the internet, i'm not sure what this is, but sutherland honda in fredericton, n.b. will not make any compensations for this defect. honda knows about this problem, but as of yet will not do a recall. please help us before someone gets killed on the highways.

Im sure im not the 1st person to compain about this issue my car is nighthawk black pearl its a 2dr honda civic ex coupe ive noticed that the top of my roofs paint is starting to fade and is spreading thats not normal. the clear code is going away leaving spots the size of a hand. there should be a recall on this issue

The paint on my car is starting to fade on the roof of the car and cracking on the hood of the car.

My 2007 honda civic's paint started webbing and peeling on the hood and roof over a year ago. dealer said not covered under warranty but suggested an auto body shop i could go to. thanks but no thanks. am not spending over 1,000 dollars for an obvious defect in honda's paint/primer. no more honda's for me.my car which i take excellent care of looks horrible.

The dealer replaced my passenger seat. after that my srs warning light went off. it's been cycling on and off for years now. i was too frustrated at how i was treated at the dealership to go back at the time. now i went in because i need to pass inspection and they tell me my whole srs system has had an internal error.
07/18/201247000
Apparently cannot be aligned properly. i'm replacing 3rd set of tires within 50k miles.

While driving our 2007 honda civic our air conditioner stopped working. unfortunately when i took the honda in for repair our warranty did not cover the condenser being damaged. a small hole was the culprit of the problem and ironic enough i am not the only one with this problem. honda needs to fix these issues causing most of their vehicle going in for repairs that cost 500- 1000 to fix. i think it crap and its all over the forums something needs to be put in place to have this situation fixed it crap. honda needs a recall to be done on these parts.

The sun visor (passenger side) on my 2007 honda civic si split open in the hot sun while sitting in the driveway. it is not repairable and will not stay in the upright position.
05/27/201249528
The driver side interior sun visor came apart and came down into the driver's line of sight for no apparent reason. further inspection indicated that it had split at the seam near the left side with internal damage to the visor rendering it beyond repair.

Excessive noise began to eminate from the rear tires . stability controll from side to side became a problem. excessive tire wear , specifically excessive inside cupping of rear tires continued. attempts to rectify the problem over the years by rotating tires, four wheel alignment, checking tire pressures were unsuccessful. recently installed upper rear controll arms as recommended by dealer. totally solved the problem. all at my expense. a definite safety issue. all owners should be notified to prevent injuries. survey should be conducted to determine if any have occurred to date. honda should reimburse all expenses.

Paint on the roof and rails is getting oxidized(with multiple patches all over the roof) on my honda civic coupe 2007. i'm first owner of the car and i do not expect the paint to get oxidized with in 5 years. honda needs to fix my car and the paint they use and also honda should make deals responsibile for this fix the paint oxidizing with 10 years of the car purchase.

Pulley bolt malfunctioned causing water pump to break while also damaging the drive belt.
09/18/200957634
Rapid tire wear occurred on the inner portions of both rear tires. the problem was discovered after noticing much road noise and having the tires rotated. two new tires were purchased and the rear upper control arms were replaced. the problem still exists to this day after consulting two different honda garages they both confirmed that the rear control arms were installed correctly and are within spec. both garages recommended replacing the tires again, but this is becoming very costly. the ride of the car over the last year has gotten significantly worse and now i'm noticing braking problems. the car hops in the back when applying the brakes at highway speeds. honda is denying the problem and has offered no compensation.

Paint is peeling on car big areas on roof and car is only 5 yrs old, sunvisor broke into pieces and they wouldnt replace it even though it had a recall on it, and engine mount broke also.
12/01/200825000
Premature tire wear and failure due to rear upper control arm suspension defect.
09/01/2011
Problem started at 76,000 miles. engine noise and vibration during cold start (first thing in morning). happens in park at start and in reverse. when in drive it is ok. also does not happen after initial start and running of the day, unless it has sat for more than 8-10 hours. there are loads of similar complaints on the internet as i have searched for those with similar problems.this should not be happening in a car with low mileage. there is a defect that needs attention.

Paint. i have nighthawk black pearl, and hood is spiderwebbing. seems to be very common with this color on 06-07-08 civic. please advise. google returns tons of info on this search.. example http://www.hondacarforum.com/honda-technical/38106-has-anyone-else-had-problems-2007-2006-honda-civics-paint.html

My 2007 honda civic si appears to wear out rear tires faster than front tires. the car is front wheel drive. rear tires become worn uneven and get bumps on them, this causes my car to shake and vibrate very bad, also makes it hard to drive in the rain. appears lots of other peopole have had the same problem.

2007 honda civic ex coupe driver's side sunvisor broke off. *ln
10/10/200839000
Defective sunvisors- fall into line of sight. broke at approx 40,000 miles. first the driver side and about a week later the passenger side. no longer able to keep them out of the way.

The sun visor in my 2007 two door honda has broken and will not stay in place. it gets in the way of my vision and distracts me when trying to drive. the design flaw of the visors in this car is major. it will not stay up and falls down in front of my face. a few times it has caused such a distraction i almost ran off the road trying to keep it out of my face. this occurs every day and i have to move it to the side which bothers me. nothing has been done to correct this failure. i am not paying $100 for a replacement which will only end up failing anyways. honda needs to own up and make a recall so that this design flaw does not cause crashes or any deaths due to the major distraction it creates to the drivers.
06/01/201160000
The condenser on my 2007 honda civic was recently punctured by a small pebble during normal highway driving. i have since (through internet research) found this to be a prevalent problem among honda civic owners. upon closer examination, i found that there is little protection afforded the condenser. road debris can easily fly through the vents in the front end of the vehicle and puncture the condenser. what happened to me at 60,000 miles has happened to others at 600 miles, and it could happen again tomorrow. the repair cost to replace the condenser ($600) is prohibitive, and the lack of a protective grille is a glaring design flaw. a recall is warranted. i wish this could have been avoided, and honda should be held responsible for the damages incurred to myself and others.

Ex coupe models. 3rd high mount brake light malfunctioning. vehicle failed inspection for this reason. light came back on then went off again while moving wires a few times. led light not blown, still working but wiring is causing the malfunction. going to have the vehicle re-wired correctly. i see many complaints online from consumers with this same problem. very expensive to fix. led lights shouldnt blow out this soon but to repair the problem the whole led strip has to be replaced and only honda carries the part. its also very hard to access the led panel/strip for replacement. re-wiring is the only cheaper option.

I have a 2007 honda civic, and the driver's side sun visor hinge is defective. it broke, and the visor is no longer adjustable -- it just hangs straight down. judging from the number of complains being registered elsewhere online, this is a very common problem. it is also a safety concern, as i am now blinded by the sun or have the visor blocking my field of vision. i will contact honda to request a free replacement, but as my car is out of warranty, i will probably have to buy a new one.

I have a 2007 honda civic coupe and both the passenger and driver sun visors have become loose and hang down in the way contantly. the driver side visor has now detached and is of no use for blocking sunlight. there have been many times that my vision as a driver has been compromised due to the lack of protection from the sun visor. i feel extremely unsafe driving in direct sunlight, even with the protection of sunglasses. the passenger side visor seems as though it will eventually detach as well. the failure has not been corrected, as it happend just after my car wasn't under warranty anymore. the replacement of these visors will cost $75 each and my honda dealership doesnt guarantee that the new visors won't have the same problems that the old ones had. i have done research and many other civic owers are having the same issue with the visors. it is imperative that honda corrects this problem and has a recall for the sun visors, otherwise as a consumer concerned about my safety, i will not want to purchase another honda.

This report deals with a recurring problem with my honda civic. in 2009, i took my honda to the local dealership due to the console between the front seats becoming extremely hot, so hot in fact, that i could not touch the emergency brake. the dealership said that it was fixed, however, a year to the month later, the same thing happened when the heat was again turned on. the dealership said that they could not brace the heat line to anything, that they would have to wad up something to have it rest upon. i am very dissatisfied with the many recalls and now this situation that keeps surfacing. when will this happen again, if it has already occurred twice.

Sun visor in 2007 honda civic splits at seam and falls in to line of sight. the visor can no longer be locked in place, it continously falls in to the line of sight.

I own two 2007 honda civic lx coupe & sedan with15,000 miles and coupe with 30,000 miles. both cars have the same sun visor problem. it breaks and will not stay in up postion. the visor could suddenly fall in front of the driver and cause an accident.
08/01/201044000
The driver's side visor is defective. it appears as though the seal on the hinge for the visor has come undone (not due to any excess force, simply due to general everyday use). the defective hinge on the visor leads to the inability to properly position the visor, when in use, or not in use. when in use, this creates a safety hazard due to obstructing the driver's vision by the visor itself due to inability to properly position the visor (it does not stay in place), or affecting the driver's vision due to not being able to properly shield glare and sun due to the inability to properly position the visor while driving. when not in use, the visor may not stay in place, therefore flopping in front of the driver's line of vision. this is a safety concern that, when researched on the internet, is large problem with honda civic owners like myself. this has not yet caused me to have an accident, but i'm trying to be proactive in preventing such an incident. i have tried multiple times to speak with my honda service people, and i've been told this is not covered under warranty. however, the service people have told me they see this complaint all the time. this is a safety defect that needs to be addressed and properly handled. thank you for looking into this matter.

The driver side visor fell on my lap and honda replaced it because it was still on warranty.. but now the passenger visor is hanging down but honda wont replace because its out of warranty. the front breaks does wear out around 12k miles after replacing it with the dealer for the 3rd time (honda dont want to admit that they use poor quality pads so you'll keep coming back to them for replacement, they say its the way you drive but i did point out to them that if i drive like a maniac i would have also need to replace my tires which lasted me more than 50k miles) i decided go get an aftermarket ceramic pads and had it installed from pepboys. its been more than 30k miles and breaks are still fine. the wiper blade on driver side does become sticky on the windshield which leaves unpleasant streak on my windshield.. even after getting a new wiper it still have the same problem.. i solve this problem by replacing my driver wiper with a shorter one(original is 26 now i have 24)

My sun visors have cracked/split at the top on both the driver and passenger side. they will not stay up and block my vision so that i have to turn them to the side facing the doors while driving. i had them both replaced while under warranty on september 13, 2008. they broke exactly the same way again this summer(2010). the visors are not able to withstand the heat and seem to melt and burst at the seam in the summer months.

While operating the above vehicle, the driver side sun visor imploded, became unstable and fell into my line of sight. this was a known hazardous defect on behalf of the manufacturer, honda. i just became aware this has been a well documented flaw in the design and the company has been put on notice. the failure of honda to voluntarily recall and/or repair the defected visor amounts to negligence according to most state case law. this should immediately result in a civil action before another failed product presents an undue hazard to another victim of honda.

My clutch went out on a 2007 honda civic si sedan. there was a tsb on the vehicle and i had called my local service department about it previously with them telling me not to worry about the problem. i live in a cold climate and was in traffic when the clutch went out so it was dangerous in numerous ways. the clutch is defective per the tsb and is a hazard to people when they drive and the clutch might go out. the clutch issue has been on the news and in the paper but no dealership is telling people and no letters have been sent to people to let them know!

Shortly after the vehicle warranty expired, we began to notice a loud humming sound coming from the rear wheels which steadily got worse. also, we experienced extreme lack of control over the car during icy conditions. we discovered that the humming sound was coming from rear tires that were severely cupped. it was necessary to purchase new back tires, get the front and back aligned, and purchase and have installed, a stabilizer bar. we understand that this is a common defect in this model and year of car.

The sun visors on the 2007 honda civic lx are defective. once the hinge breaks, the visor will no longer stay up and it hangs straight down blocking more than one third of the windshield visibility. because my vision is dangerously obstructed i often have to move the visor so that it is against the driver-side window. with the visor in this position, nearly half of the side window visibility is obstructed causing yet a different but equally dangerous hazard. furthermore, when my visor is against the driver-side window and i have to turn, the visor often hits me in the head. in order to prevent being hit in the head i have to hold the visor in place while turning. your defect is not only a cosmetic nuisance it is also very dangerous. as outlined below you can see that i have had to replace my visors an unreasonably excessive number of times. part date mileage driver visor07/19/073,179 driver visor06/14/0814,071 passenger visor08/30/0816,519 driver visor09/16/0817,135 driver visor11/06/1039,479 passenger visor11/06/1039,479 i will gladly produce supporting documentation upon request.

 1. 2007 honda civic visor split within a month of purchase. it was still functional despite the split, until approximately 9/27/10, when it stopped locking in place and started interfering with visibility. just learned that many civic owners complain of the same problem. 2. at approximately 26,000 miles, windshield spontaneously cracked while parked overnight, yet there was no impact. crack formed overnight on 9/30/10-10/1/10. windshield was smooth to the touch from both the outside and inside all along the length and breadth of the crack.

Sun visors crack and break so that they are no longer secure and hang down obstructing the driver's vision. my driver side visor broke approximately 1 year ago and was replaced under warranty (with the same defectively designed visor). it has now broken again (out of warranty).

2007 honda civic, unintended acceleration has occured 2 times while sitting in traffic with foot on brake, no interference from floor mat, car in drive. 1st time car had been driven 45 minutes, 2nd time only about 5 minutes. no parts have been replaced, but idle has been relearned, and other software elements have been reinstalled. so far, techinicans have not identified cause of unintended acceleration. because it fortunately happened while driver's foot was on brake, no damage occured, since driver was able to hold car in position until it was turned off the first time. car was racing for about 10-15 seconds before turned off. when turned back on with car in park, the engine still raced for a couple of seconds then came back to normal idle and dirver was able to drive to destination with no further problem. car was taken the next morning to dealership and kept for two weeks while technicians tested it, drove it over 500 miles, had factory techincians come, and performed updates and reinstallations listed above. the car was declared safe and running according to honda specs, so owner took back the car. week later it happened again. 2nd time, driver was able to put car in neutral, at which point rpms rose to over 5000, then dropped back to normal idle. currently car is being checked at dealership again

I got a new honda civic ex 2007 sedan and performing all the regular needed maintenance and wheel rotation. after driving 20000 miles, i felt shaking and vibration of the car with lots of noise coming out of the car. i brought my car to honda dealer; the technician checked and informed me that, the wheel cups are unevenly worn due to the defective wheel control arm and improper wheel alignment. dealer said he fixed the wheel alignment and replaced the defective wheel control but mentioned that the noise will continue till the wheels wear evenly (approximately 2months). i drove again for four months with that noise and vibrations, i didn

Slow throttle response since purchase, door glass rattle since purchase, the third gear would give resistance, which is a known problem with the six speed transmission. i patched the problem by changing the transmission fluid and installing a shorter shifter yet this is not a permanent solution. honda has refused to repair the actual problem with the third gear synchro and at one point stated that it was probably caused by my driving, the problem with the vehicle going into third gear is a known problem and there is a technical service bulletin that honda corporate has released for the exact problem. the headliner rattles, door gasket seal has been coming off since purchase, suspension popping noise in the front passenger side strut since purchase and the sound has become more frequent, the driver side visor was defective and was replaced, the driver door hits the fender when opening just started happening since honda worked on my vehicle. i have been taking my vehicle to two different dealerships (recommended by honda corporate) and nothing has been properly repaired. i feel as though i have been given the run around for the past year. honda has made several attempts to repair the problems and has not been able to, they have only damaged my vehicle during their attempts to repair it. they have damaged the front bumper three times, the side of the vehicle once, the door and fender once. they of course denied any involvement in the damage, then repair it under warranty. *tr

On wednesday, june 11, 2008 i was driving from mar vista, ca to san leandro, ca with my 4 year old son and 20 year old sister in law. we were on the 580 w driving in the far left lane at 65mph at 11:30 am when we heard an explosion in the rear of the car. when we inspected the car, the right rear tire was blown through. the side walls were intact, but the whole top part of the tire was not connected to the side wall. my car is a 2007 honda civic coupe ex and it had about 8300 miles. i purchased the car in july 2007. the crash caused significant damage to the front left side of my car. the car is now at a body shop and is being repaired in san leandro, ca. we have the defective tire. after doing more research i found that honda had issued a service bulletin about uneven or rapid tire wear. tsb 08-001 on february 8, 2008. i did not receive notification of this serious defect because honda is not required to notify consumers regarding tsbs. this defect is serious and affects nearly all 2006-2007 honda civics. this tsb needs to become a recall. all owners of 2006-2007 honda civics need to be made aware of this life threatening defect. i understand that tires should be checked regularly, and many consumers do, however, my tires did not give me any warning of uneven wearing. actually, it would be hard to notice since my 2007 civic coupe ex is not quite on the road and you can feel any little bump in the road. i was told that this was normal because of the stiff suspension. overall, i seriously hope that this is addressed quickly. many unsuspecting drivers, many of whom have driven honda's in the past are not expecting this type of problem which can cause tire blowouts and possible fatal accidents. it would be unfortunate that a class action suit or the death of innocent consumers prompt honda to make this tsb 08-001 notice a recall notice. *tr
