| My driver's side sun visor broke, causing it to fall down in my line of vision. it would not stay in the up position. apparently this is a very common happening in the honda civic and at this point, needs to be fixed once and for all with a recall and real fix, other than simply replacement with another visor that is also going to break! it also appears from what i've read online that the problem is cheap plastic and heat. yes, cars get hot in the summer, particularly if you lock them up as you should! honda claims it's not a hazard but i can assure you it is!! i was lucky b/c my car is still under warranty but no doubt when it happens again (and it will) it won't still be under warranty. | |||

| Tl-the contact owns a 2009 honda civic. the contact turned on the air conditioner but only warm air would blow through the vents. the vehicle was taken to an independent repair shop where the contact was told the condenser under the vehicle was dented and punctured. the contact was also told the hoses were disconnected and leaking fluids. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and current mileages were unknown. the vin was unavailable. sm. | |||

| Loud sound coming from front end, took it in for warranty repair and was told brakes were worn out at 18,xxx miles. i drive mostly highway miles and i argued that it was too early for that to happen and was told it depends on the driver. i have driven 5 cars in my life and the avg brake life was 60-70,000 miles. i am very dissappointed i have to do repairs on a 2009 civic that i purchased with 10 miles on it. i called and complained to corporate and was given the company line. no help! | |||

| Hello, i have a 2009 honda civic. evry time i drive it for more then an hour or so, the gear shift base where the n,rf etc is written, gets hot. also, the instrument panel where the cd player is gets really hot. the dealer tells me it is ok, there is no problem. i find it hard to believe as i don't want to be on the hwy with my family and the car catches on fir or something. how could this be normal. please help. *tr | |||

| 2009 honda civic hybrid. consumer states air condition failure and problem with indicator lights *tgw the dealer informed the consumer that rodents eating acorns had dropped the shells into the air conditioner intake. the consumer also stated the park and drive light illuminated. the park light was steady, while the drive light blinked on and off. the consumer shut the vehicle off. the consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, where they determined a rodent had damaged a cable. also, the trunk failed to open on command, the consumer believed the problem occurred when the vehicle was detailed which caused the protective gasket to lose its protective lubricant. the gasket was lubricated and the trunk lid now opens on command. *jb | |||
