My honda cr-v will go backwards when it's on parking position. and also i can shut off the engine and take off the car key even when it's on drive position. i think those two problems occur since i bought it. *tr

When purchased new in 2000 the ride was loose and jittery and the car could not be driven safely over 60 mph. between 40 and 45 the front end bounced uncontrollably. the dealer drove the car (would not allow me to accompany) and declared that's normal for this model...that's just the way suv's ride. after 80,000 miles at speeds below 60 the transmission self-destructed. after replacing the transmission the ride is excellent. *jb

While driving automatic transmission lower gear doesn't shift properly from the first to the second gear. then, won?t shift at all. *ak the shift lever would not down shift into low speeds while driving down steep hills. the dealer worked on the steering column and now the lever works better but it's not as smooth as the consumer's 2004 honda accord. *nm

Tl*the contact owns a 2000 honda cr-v. while driving 20 mph or in first and second gear, the vehicle hesitates to gain speed. it seems to not want to shift into the upper gear. the vehicle was taken to a repair shop and the mechanic stated that there was an error message on the gear differential on the transmission. the dealer has been notified. through research, she found complaints for this failure. the contact believes that this should not be occurring on her vehicle due to the mileage, and that the manufacturer should issue a recall. the current and failure mileages were 112,000. updated 09/11/09 *bf updated 09/15/09.*jb

I have a rumbling, grinding noise that is due to excessive and premature wear on the rear differential of my 2000 honda crv awd. i have changed the fluid, but it seems that this is a common problem that should not be occuring in so many owners.
