 Tl- the contact owns a 2001 honda cr-v. the contact stated that while driving 60 mph, the vehicle independently accelerated to 85 mph. the contact was able to shift into neutral and then applied the parking brake in order to stop the vehicle. the engine was still independently registering over 7,000 rpms. a dealer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance to the contact. the manufacturer was notified and also offered no assistance. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and current mileage was 160,000. kmj

 Tl- the contact owns a 2001 honda cr-v. the contact stated while driving 60 mph the vehicle independently accelerated to 85 mph. the contact was able to put the vehicle in the neutral position and then applied the parking brake to stop the vehicle. the engine was still independently registering over seven thousand rpms. a dealer was notified but appeared to be disinterested and offered no assistance. the manufacturer was notified and likewise offered no assistance. the vehicle was not repaired. the failure and current mileage was 160,000. dt

 Tl*the contact owns a 2001 honda cr-v. while driving approximately 45 mph, the cruise control was engaged and failed to hold the set speed. the vehicle accelerated automatically above 45 mph. there were no warning lights illuminated on the instrument panel. a tow company was called and the tow truck driver was able to repair the malfunction. the vehicle is currently working properly, but will be taken to an authorized dealer for a diagnostic. the contact was concerned of the safety risk involved. the vin was unknown. the failure and current mileages were 134,000.
