Driver side lock and trunk lock initially about a month ago would not lock manually or remotely. then two days ago, the car would not unlock at all. had to have the car unlocked by a company. now only the passenger and two rear doors work. i have to crawl in from the passenger side to get in the car.

The locks on my car's doors automatically re-lock within a second of trying to unlock them. when the engine is running, and i am in park, i cannot manually unlock the doors at all. i am very nervous that i may end up getting locked in my car without the ability to exit; this could be especially hazardous in an accident or another emergency.

Power door lock would open and close randomly while driving, from a stopped position to approx 20mph. recently when using key fob to lock car the doors would randomly unlock(took several times of locking and unlocking( to get the doors to stay locked. this past week the door lock actuator started making a terrible grinding sound when locking/unlocking doors. now door power door locking system has failed entirely and i have to use the key to open the doors.

On my 2007 crv the doors, if not already locked, lock automatically when the car reaches about 10 to 20 mph. in mid august 2012 i began to hear the clicking of the door locking each time i started after being stopped at a light or having slowed down. i realized that the passenger rear door was not locking. i brought it to be fixed and was told it was the actuator. the cost to repair was $230.00. two months later, it happened again with another door-this time, the passenger front door. and then in december it happened again with the driver side rear door. i did not get the last two fixed right away due to the cost (with 2 it would be around $500.00 which i did not have at the time) but it became a significant problem because i could not lock my car. this is a saftey issue too, i did not feel comfortable riding in my car in certain neighborhoods and i was concerned about possible theft of my car or items in my car since there was no way to lock the doors. i have had the two actuators replaced and have contacted honda but they say there is no recall for my vin # and with the milage and age of my car....however, there have been several other models with door lock issues. honda knows that the door locks are/have been an issue. i believe it is a safety concern that honda should address. no one should have to wait until they can afford to fix these locks in order to get them fixed!

I was at the cabin finishing up some chores. went to put some tools in the back seat of the honda crv and the door would not open. the same thing happened to the back hatch. the door could not be opened with out great difficulty from the inside and not at all from the outside. the hatch could be opened also only from the inside after crawling over the seats and only after removing the latch panel and manually flipping the latch. after i got home i researched the problem and the internet is full of such problems. i understand that some models of crv 2006 and older had a recall. of course mine is a 2007. problems with the latch and actuator are a significant safety issue as if there was an accident or fire both of these egresses out of the vehicle would not be available either by the occupants or rescue personel. the cost to get this repaired is significant leaving the potental for the problem not to be fixed immediatly.

The mechanics of the door locks have become progressively worse beginning first with the front passenger door and then spreading to the right side rear passenger door, driver door, and rear hatch. all of the doors randomly lock and unlock and make a loud rattling sound while doing so. the right side rear door no longer unlocks from the outside. the rear hatch only opens 5% of the time we attempt to open it (which is a nightmare when it is full of luggage or groceries). the doors will not unlock manually with a key... only the fob key. i have seen numerous complaints online addressing this problem and am shocked that it has not been addressed by honda. it is a major safety hazard.

The driver and passenger doors keep unlocking all the time, and can't lock my car doors and it is very unsafe.

Front doors started locking automatically. after approx. 9 months all doors started locking automatically. all doors would lock immediately after engine was turned off, locking all occupants inside. would lock when car was idleing in park and was unable to open doors manuelly with key from outside. car was stolen then recovered. whatever was used to steal it must have reset computer. because for approx.1 week after recovery door locks worked fine. now it is back to the problem as before. my 1 yr. old grandson was locked in the car for a brief time due to this issue, luckily one of the rear windows was down and my daughter crawled thru. i have read there is a recall for this problem on 2006 honda crv, but not for the 2007. it is possible that left over defective parts from 2006 models were used in 2007. i am told i could have to pay up to $900.00 to repair this problem. i not only don't have the money, but i don't accept that it should be my problem. it's not like it's from wear and tear or misuse of the vehicle. this is my third honda i've owned, and my last unless someone would at least acknowledge there is a problem here. thank you

My driver door and hood door are unable to open; took it to honda dealer and it's costing me over $800 for them just to break the door panel and then to fix the electrical issue it's a separate bill; this vehicle should be recalled due to electrical issue and i find it to be very unsafe.

When driving the vehicle, the automatic power door locks are supossed to engage when the car reaches approximately 10 mph, while driving my vehicle, this does happen but after the door locks engage, both rear doors on my vehicle unlock for no apparent reason. this appears to me to be a safety issue as i have 3 small grandchildren and i am afraid to allow them to ride in the back seat of my vehicle for fear that they may open the doors while the vehicle is moving and even though this vehicle is equiped with childproof door locks, i will not totally rely on this as the only method to securing the doors. i have spoken to honda on a couple of occations in this matter, but they seem to atribute it to a wear and tear or electrical issue and even though they agreed with me that this was a potential safety issue, they did not seem to take my concerns seriously.i have also discovered that the 2006 honda cr-v was recalled for the exact same problem and as early as a few months ago the 2012 honda cr-v along with some acura models are being recalled for these defective power door lock mechanisms.i repaced the front door mechanism in 2009 only to have both rear door mechanisms fail at the same time a short time later. i find it hard to atribute the failure of two individual parts to fail at the same time to a case of wear and tear or an electrical issue. i feel that these parts are failing due to an inferior design and i would like for this matter to be investigated. thank you.

Passenger side door lock does not function properly. the lock slowly unlocks itself.

On may 18, 2012, my passenger side door lock started malfunctioning. every time i would start or stop, the door would lock then immediately unlock. it is unable to be locked using the key fob and is unable to be locked manually by pushing the lever inside the car. so basically the car is unlocked. it is a faulty/defective door lock actuator. common problem in hondas. other models and years have been recalled, but not the 2007 cr-v. i only have 19,700 miles on my 5 year old car!!! honda needs to issue a recall. i have already have two other items fixed on this car at no cost because of tsbs being issued (rear differential and transmission module). i have contacted honda corporate to request a goodwill consideration repair since it will cost approximately $265 to replace this defective/faulty part.

1st failure was tires in rear of the vehicle were worn on the inside causing the tire to deflate. returned to the dealer asking them what happened. they blamed the tire manufacturer. put new tires on had all the necessary dealer scheduled maintainence. rotation ect. the new tires installed at 42,000 began to shimmy badly in the rear of the vehicle at 63,000 miles. took the vehicle to a honda dealer in fl and the tires had to be replaced in the rear because of the same wear as the 1st set. the rear suspension can not be adjusted to correct this problem. the solution was after market (not honda mfg parts) with an adjustible arm. the camber can now be adjusted to make the vehicle safe to drive, the tires would have worn out in an area not easy to see an cause a blowout at high speed would be a real problem. honda corp will not admit fault. i see many people on the internet with the same problem as i experienced. the extended vehicle ins. i purchased will not pay for this problem. they say honda has modified this part and they will not pay. this should be a recall in my opnion because of the safty issue. i was lucky to have my tire failure occure at a slow speed. at 70 mpg it would have been bad and everyone would have blamed the tires. but the real problem is the vehicle's unable to adjust the alignment to stop abnormal tire wear. honda and all the dealers are in denial of the problem.

The hatch wouldn't open. noticed the back left door was stuck locked while other doors opened when unlocked w/key remote and manually from front drivers side door. so i manually opened the lock on the back left door which enabled the hatch to open. from then, the back left door wouldn't lock. noticed this while driving--my son opened door several times, luckily we weren't on the freeway and he was in a child seat. otherwise he would've flew out. the door sounded like it locked as it always did but didn't realized the back door wasn't locked.

At approx; 75000 miles the right front door lock started making a very loud chattering noise when you used your key remote to unlock or to lock.when the vehicle reached 10 mph during excellerating and decellerating this would also happen. now the driver side rear passenger door lock is doing the same thing.i'm afraid to let a child ride in the back seat or the front passenger seat.i was checking online for anything about this problem and came across a interesting web site that your dept; needs to look at.there are many other cr-v owners with this same complaint. edmunds.com>suvs>.honda cr-v>honda power door locks. this forum has some pretty consistent complaints about the honda cr-v door locks and there relevent safety.

Vehicle began resetting door locks whenever vehicle accelerated through 7 or 8 mph from stop. after awhile, driver side front and back doors would not lock automatically and intermittently the driver door could not be manually locked (heavy resistance when trying to flip latch). on a less frequent basis, the passenger side rear door would not auto or manually lock. for last several months the door lock solenoids fire like a machine gun whenever the doors are manually or automatically locked. some times they all lock, other times one or more of the doors won't. tolerated for many months as dealer wouldn't fix under warranty even though only 1000 miles and a few days past 12mo/36k coverage and didn't want to pay dealer estimated fix at up to 800 dollars. now starting to pick up grandchildren for after school care and need to fix. seems this problem has enough complaints to warrant recall?

The door lock actuators fail without warning. when trying to exit the vehicle the actuator is stuck in the locked position and could prevent emergency exit of the vehicle. it is very difficult for an adult to manually overide the lock and impossible for a child. one actuator failure causes multiple doors not to function correctly. the honda dealer will not fix under warranty.

The info button on my navi stopped working. i can slide left, but i cannot slide up, down, or right. it's frustrating and dangerous.

While driving on the interstate highway, my a/c stopped blowing cold air. took it to honda dealership and firestone autocare. i was told the compressor has busted. the total repair was quoted at us$1300. this seems to be a common problem for honda crvs and i am surprise that there has been no recalls yet. it is very disappointing and disgusting that in the time of the economy we are forced to bear the cost of a manufacturing defect. honda seems to give you a run around excuse. i live in chicago where 9 months out of 12 months you do not need an a/c. this is my 4th summer and adding the math, the a/c lasted just a little over 9 months. please give this

2007 honda crv rear differential noise began at about30,000 miles. i took vehicle in to honda of turnersville, nj. they told me the noise was due to wear of the rear differential fluid, that it had to be changed whenever the noise appeared, or every 20,000 miles. they replaced the fluid free of charge, and burnished the bearings for the first time, but i was told i would have to pay for the service in the future. i was told it did not represent a safety hazard and that it did not do mechanical damage to the vechicle, nor would it in the future. there is nothing in the service manual regarding this service change requirement. i have noticed significant complaints from other crv owners on websites and blogs. i have also seen reference to inferior subgrade rear differential fluid use by honda on the same vehicles.

The icons on the lock and unlock buttons of the key/transmitter wear off prematurely. making it difficult to remotely open or close the doors. both the dealer and manufacturer claim the key/transmitter are not covered by the 3yr/36,000 mile warranty.
