The continental tires honda puts on the crv are poor quality. i was informed by honda's maintenance people that i needed new tires soon last year. i had to replace 4 of them at 39,000 miles now. good quality tires should drive more than 39,000 miles.

Honda 2008 crv has vibrations in the tires and it pulls to the right (left when tires are rotated). it appears this is a known problem with this model of honda 2008 crv with many people complaing about it. the maintenance center blames the tires, the tire shop blames the wheels. bottom line is honda knows there's a problem and they do not know how to fix it. the same response is not the wheels is the tires! reality it is the design of the vehicle which has no fix. never ever purchase another honda again.

After having the car serviced at the dealership (oil change) i went to have the tires rotated. on the drive home the car was pulling to the right very hard and i had to fight to keep the car on the road. discussed the problem with the tire store and took the car back the next day. after numerous tire rotations nothing fixed the problem and the car was now straying to the left, if i made a left hand turn, on top of pulling to the right, if i made a right hand turn. neither the dealership or the tire store had ever experienced this, nor did they know what the problem was. then i had the mechanic, from the dealership, drive the car and he blamed it on the tire pressure being off 5 pounds in the front vs the rear. however, he had the car in service department for 20-25 minutes and i did not see what was done to the car. then he explaned it was all fixed, it should drive normally and the tire pressure was the problem. the tires are not wearing evenly and i am on my second set. i rotate/balance them when required and keep all receipts. i was also told there was an oil leak in the front crank seal with no explanation as to why. my concern is the with the steering pulling so hard to the right and at issue is safety. the dealership could not explain why it was pulling either direction and blaming it on the tires and air pressure. i don't buy that at all. now it drives straight down the road and does not pull. but what caused it to do this in the first place? will this happen again? is there a honda recall and if not why?

My story begins (2/14/09) when my husband was taking off the left front tire. during removal, using a manual lug wrench, he snapped off two wheel studs. the following monday, (2/16/09), we took the crv to the orwigsburg service center, our local repair shop, to have a state inspection performed and replace the broken wheel studs. while at this shop, our mechanic pulled all four wheels, and informed us that all the wheels studs, 20 in total, were bent outward, in a circumferential pattern. we were then advised to contact american honda, as this was certainly due to some type of product defect. due to the seriousness of the situation we had, at our expense, the crv towed to lehigh valley honda for inspection, and we assumed, a warranty repair. imagine our surprise, when lehigh valley hondas
