The tpms (tire pressure monitoring system) light illuminates when i have my cell phone plugged into the car charger. it stays on until i unplug the phone from the charger. this is ongoing and not just a one time incident. the car has been checked by a mechanic and the tpms system is operational with no problem. *tr

This is a common problem in multiple model years for the honda crv. you cannot make it happen by doing something and you can go weeks without it happening. as you are driving the warning letters tpms light up and the owner's manual tells you to immediately contact the dealer if this happens. i have taken the car to the dealer 4 times and also contacted honda case # n012011-10-0400013. the dealer and honda said the problem is radio frequency interference with the system and cannot be corrected. when the tpms is lit the system is not working so you do not know if a low pressure in one or more of the tires is present

Tl*the contact owns a 2009 honda cr-v. that contact stated that while sitting in the vehicle with the engine off the doors automatically locked on five. the automatic door locks was not a feature on the vehicle. the dealer stated that since the battery life was low it was sending a faulty signal to the remote causing the doors to lock. the dealer change the battery and within three months, the doors began to lock on their own again. the contact called the manufacturer and was informed to take the vehicle back to the dealer so they could duplicate the failure. the contact stated that this was a safety concern since the keys could be locked inside the vehicle. the failure mileage was 10,913.

Bought a crv honda last month. right after purchase, began getting large electrical shocks while opening or shutting doors--in a variety of shoes and clothing. contacted dealership and corporate office--all they could say was to spray the seats and floors with fabric softener. did so...lasted 7-10 days--not happy with vehicle for this reason--afraid to gas the vehicle due to the possibility of catching on fire. *tr
