Front vehicle carpet beneath gas/brake pedals has worked loose. it is curled up and may pose a rise to braking accelerating pedals, i will contact honda about this problem. the driver's left foot tends to get caught in the carpet and there does not seem to be a simple fix for this. the plastic runners on the floorboard at the door can't be lifted to repair this because the hood release handle is incorporated into them.

This spring,we noticed the floor on the drivers side was wet, visible puddles in the backseat area and water in the spare tire area.we always have the windows closed, the kids always knock snow off their boots and we have snow mats,so there is an obvious problem with this car.we easily removed a gallon out of the back area with a shamwow, but now the moldy smell is starting up and the car always has condensation inside on the windows.we got the floors fairly dry a week ago,and sat the car for a couple of days while it rained.lo and behold, puddles again!!the dealership says sorry, your past 3years/60000and the extended warrantyhonda plusdoesnt cover water leaks.honda canada says go pay for an inspection at the dealershipthen we'll try to help you outthis car is not yet 4 years old and it soaks up water like a sponge.i'm not shelling out a single penny for this obvious defect.

2007 honda fit leaks water on driver's side, focused on rear passenger seat, particularly in back corner near wheel well. occurs mainly in heavy rain and has resulted in mold growth. local dealership (honda of middletown) has blamed leak on previous bodywork, ignoring customer's reference to numerous online complaints about the exact same leak issue nationwide in cars without bodywork. they call this an isolated incident and refuse to address issue without customer paying out several hundred dollars for diagnostic work.

Structural. my 2007 honda fit is leaking water onto the rear driver and passenger seat floor. it is causing mold which aggravates my asthma and allergies. it is also rusting the door panels, floor boards and the spare tire well. i had to throw out my floor mat, as it was molded. i believe honda should repair the leak, rust and mold. it will affect my car for years to come if all are not addressed. an initial call to the local honda dealer resulted in a your car is no longer under warrantly comment. a call today stated that they would look at it but did not guarantee they would repair it.

After about 2 years, i noticed that my carpet in the rear seat and rear hatch area were saturated with water any time it rains (living in florida, it rains often). upon further investigation, the spare tire compartment under the rear hatch area was pooling with a significant amount of water (we're talking a quart of water after a heavy downpour, easily a gallon within a rainy week if not tended to daily). it appears that there is some kind of leak around the rear door hatch and/or rear light seals, and/or in the roof, and/or in the floor. this has led to mold and mildew growth in the vehicle's passenger compartment which represents a serious health concern, not to mention property damage to anything being transported in the vehicle. i have become aware of other honda fit owners from the 2007-08 model years that have the exact same issue. there has been nothing yet done by manufacturer to address this issue as far as i am aware of.

I own a 2007 honda fit, sport model- that was involved in an accident. i was driving my car on the highway in stop and go traffic. there was a late model toyota tundra pickup truck infront of my car and it came to a sudden stop. i couldn't stop quick enough- i was traveling at low speed must be under 15mph. my car hit the bumper of the pick up truck infront of me and the hood, lights and entire top front end sustained about $7000 worth of damage. but none of the airbags deployed at all. lots of lights on the gauge cluster came on and went off but the airbags did not deploy. the tundra only sustained a scratch on the rear bumper. after a tear down by the body shop it was determined that the sensors were installed at the sides at the front end of the frame rail. this is a very low position on this car since its already low to the ground. i believe the airbag sensors are too low on these cars by poor and irresponsible design by honda. had these sensors been placed at a higher elevation then the airbags would have gone off and the injuries would have been even minor. this design decision seems like it was developed to satisfy the frontal crash tests conducted by the insurance institute for highway safety. during those tests the cars are evaluated for crashes to a solid object anchored to the ground. the airbags would not deploy in a crash scenario with any vehicle that would not be a compact car. i was lucky because there was no loss of life but the same accident at a higher speed would have resulted in no airbag deployment and certain loss of life. the car is currently being repaired at a body shop in lorton va. i extend you the opportunity to come and study the car if you care to do so... thanks so much shazad buksh *tr

After an overnight torrential rain i realized that the back seat floor of my honda fit 2007 (behind the driver seat) had a puddle of water. i mean, a big puddle. no windows was left open and the car was never damaged. i used to park in a garage over night. so of course i never had the chance to experience this until i moved because i now have to park the car outside. and of course it is over 3 years old so the warranty won't cover it. i always took good care of the car and had all the service done on time. i called the dealership and they request $150 just to run a diagnosis. how many complaints will have to be filed for honda to admit the problem???? this is just unacceptable. and after reading all the other complaint i am now also getting worried about the health of my kid because of possible mold growth! how can honda ignore this. i used to be very proud of my honda fit and loved it but i feel now that they are fooling us and if nothing is being made, honda can be sure their brand won't be in my list once the time to buy a new car comes. and i will gladly let family and friends about this so they would not buy honda as well. i know i am only one person and they probably won't care but they are endangering people's health and life and something must be done. *tr

This car is leaking horrendously. i have to vaccuum the flooring of this car several times a week to prevent mold from growing on the walls, flooring and seats of the vehicle. no after market work has been done and we have now had to remove all carpet and padding to prevent further mold infestation. this is an all too common and dangerous complaint for this vehicle (and this year specifically for this model). honda refuses to address the issue and it is endangering the health of everyone who rides in my car on a daily basis. please help - this has devalued my 5 year old car and made it a complete lemon!

We've experienced several episodes in which the rear passenger side floor is holding an impressive amount of water after it has rained. windows have not been left open. we have dried up the area only to find another puddle of standing water in the floor space again and again. there are no tell-tale signs of leakage on the upholstery or ceiling material but there is starting to be a mold smell because we cannot keep the water out! this is starting to ruin the flooring carpet material as well as the overall condition of the inside of our well-kept family car. we're very concerned because this could ruin the car; i've read many other complaints of exactly the same situation/conditions and i have yet to read what honda has for an answer/solution. i live in a rain-heavy area - on an island - with no honda dealership.

Heavy rain causes my 2007 honda fit to leak into the rear passenger floor board. the first time it happened it was under warranty and i was told that the automatic carwash was to strong. by the time i discovered the water, it had started to mold under the floor mat. it happend 4 times before i could get it corrected. by this time it was out of warranty and they did not have a record of my reporting it the first time. the fix that was done was re-sealing the door panel.

During the rain the spare tire compartment got flooded; this caused rust formation on the jack, growth of the mold and extreme fogging of the windows. the leak is most probably caused by the rear door to body seal failure.

My 07 honda fit is leaking water. the carpet is wet and moldy, especially under the rear seats. this causes my windows to have condensation on them and impairs my view through the windows since they are foggy from october to march with the colder weather.. the spare tire area has water sitting in it eventhough i take the plug out to drain. the car is devalued due to the stink and those with health problems don't want to ride in it. due to the mold. the car has started rusting where wettness pools, under the seat. and if it isn't taken care of soon, the wet inside of the door panels will not only rust prematurely but comprimise my rear electrical, such as my speakers and whatever else goes through the doors. i need the leak fixed, the carpet replaced and the door panels to be drained.

Started noticing that water was getting into the back floor board of the vehicle. upon investigation noticed considerable amounts of water under the spare tire. i have noticed the mold growing in the carpet and have cleaned this up twice. the local honda dealer (johnson city honda) says they have never heard of this problem in the past. this occurs each time the vehicle is driven in the rain. nothing has been done by the local dealer.

My 2007 honda fit has defective door seals in at least the front two doors and the trunk leading to black mold and resulting health concerns. when the car is parked on any kind if incline and it rains, water enters the car via the defective door seals and soaks into the rear carpets causing extensive mold damage to the carpets and seals. water also fills the rear spare tire well. this occurs every time the car is parked in the rain. i have personally experienced this with my 2007 honda fit. this leak could cause breathing difficulties and other physical side effects due to black mold. despite my and others efforts to bring this to the attention of honda usa, they have ignored all attempts and will not offer me any assistance. i have wasted a considerable amount of money trying to remedy this issue through honda. a recall needs to be issued for this leak issue. it would be the fourth issued for this car, and two of the previous recalls are linked to water leaks or water damage. there is clearly a serious related defect in manufacturing with the first five years of this model's lifespan.

Tl*the contact owns a 2007 honda fit. the contact stated that the vehicle was designed too low, which caused the undercarriage to strike against the ground. as a result, the driver's side shield detached. the low design causes the undercarriage to make contact with objects in the road and high-surfaced driveways. the contact managed to avoid a few crashes. a report was filed with the manufacturer, but they have not returned the contact's phone call. the vehicle was taken to the dealer and they offered to trade-in the vehicle. the contact declined because it would cost too much money. the dealer stated that nothing else could be done and referred her to the manufacturer. the failure mileage was 20,000.

The air conditioner stopped working on my 2007 honda civic. when i phoned the dealer to inquire if this would be covered by my warranty they said most likely unless a pebble bounced up and punctured a hole in the condenser. i found it odd that he was so familiar with this problem. sure enough, a tiny pebble punctured a hole through my condenser. i thought this was just bad luck until i did some research and have found numerous complaints about this same exact problem happening to other honda owners. i drive under normal road conditions. what is to say this won't keep happening. it must be a design flaw. i paid $469.00 to get this fixed, not something i can keep doing. i asked the service representative if there was anything i could do to prevent this from happening. the answer no...translation for me not driving it is the only way to prevent a tiny pebble from doing this again. help please. *nm
