| Hi, i would like to report a sudden acceleration problem with my 2009 honda fit sport model. the incidence happened while i was traveling between 5 to 10 miles per hour. i was trying to park the car. i let the car slowly rolled forward into the empty parking spot ahead. because i was traveling at pretty low speed, so i only gently applied the brake pedal as i was getting closer to the empty parking spot. as i slowly pressed on the brake, the car just suddenly accelerated. the car shot ahead. i quickly released my foot on the brake pedal and applied the hand brake. after the car came to a complete stop, it actually rolled over on the side walk. luckly, no one was on the sidewalk and no damage or injury occurred. i have been driving the honda fit for 1.5 year and this is the only time i noticed such a problem. i plan to bring the car in for service in the next few weeks. | |||

| 2009 honda fit. consumer states unintended acceleration after collision *tgw the consumer stated he and his wife were sitting at a red light, when suddenly they were rear-ended. after they were hit from behind, the vehicle accelerated into the car in front of them, striking it in the rear as well. despite the consumer having applied the brake as hard as he could, the vehicle continued to spin its wheels as if the accelerator was being floored. the consumer had the emergency brake on, and his foot was still on the brake. the only way the consumer was able to stop the vehicle was by turning off the engine. | Leaving client's driveway, put car in reverse and backed out of driveway stopping at the opposite side, across the street. turned steering in the direction i was heading and placed car in drive. lifted my foot off brake and car took off without my foot touching the accelerator. it was like i had depressed the accelerator to the floor and my foot never touched the accelerator. i hit a parked car. i was terrified. *tr | |||
